Did the chat channels all become disabled except for emotes?

If so, why?

Also, where the heck are our villager clothes we started out with?

Reason I ask the last question is because I cannot find them no matter where I look in my wardrobe.

For me too. Not sure why, I see everyone else talking, but my type doesn’t go through. I try to PM ppl and it tells me they are offline, although there status shows them online and I see them talking in g chat

Me too… Nothing I enter in “map” shows up, while it seems like most everyone else’s does.

Same with me. I can neither talk in map nor in my guild. I see other people chatting just fine though, so I have no idea what is going on.

I seem to be having the same issue..

Apparently if you enter the grove, it breaks and cant be fixed as far as i’m aware.

For the town clothes, go talk to the black lion armorer.

I haven’t gone to the grove though.

I know this doesn’t solve the issue but you can mail people and talk through /me chat.

yeah it’s not working for me either. seams like the patch broke chat for a large number of players. I can type in chat but when I go to enter it it’s not shown for anyone. which is really annoying there is no reason to play an MMO if you cannot communicate with your allies.

can’t talk in chat but i can see lots of other people talking so, hopefully anet fixes this issues.

I’m having same issues, it’s as if I am not online. I whisper and it says others are not online, I say or map chat and nothing comes out.

Same here, none seems to be able to see what i type either as none is answering me… i feel.. isolated.

UPDATE:

When I lost type, all of my guilds current queued builds, even those in queue, were auto completed. We had several with 2-8 days left.

OI, were you guys all online when he update happened? My account was and now I’m mute, but I checked out my friends account who wasn’t on and his chat is fine, it’s bull s**t that I have to jump around and play charades to communicate with others

i joined a fractal and i wasn’t able to reply to their chat because of this issue. i hope they didn’t find me rude or snobbish.
