Claw Island Personal Story: disconnected

You could use either the -repair or the -verify option.
Trehearne’s overlapping dialog is “normal”. I’ve gone through that part with 4 or 5 characters and it was always overlapping like that but never had any issues.
There is something wrong with Claw Island even with a wire connection I constantly am lagging and getting disconnected with in the instance.
I had issues with claw island d/c’ing when I first did it months ago. It took me 5 tries to complete it… One time, I got the beacons lit and d/c’d while the vid played. I’ve since done claw island several more times on other characters and with my hubs and his instance was so lagged he could barely complete it or get the treb to hit the ship… I had to swim out and smack it to progress the story for him… But it is still super laggy as of 1 month ago when I did it last. I’ll be doing it again soon and hope it isn’t as bad. I findit less laggy when I go alone, personally. It’s an odd bug!
Update – I made this post as I was attempting Khisanth’s advice to do a command line -repair switch. That appears to have stabilized my client and got me through without a hitch. Thank you, Khisanth!
Update: Part Deux – The repair also helped with another issue I was having when warping into a heavily populated area, where I would seem to lag behind my actual movement on the map and slowly load models. So double thanks!
Having the same problem today. Searches yield other threads of varying age describing similar issues — Sudden lag and then a dropped connection back to the character select screen. For me, it’s when the abominations first begin spawning on the walls of the town. I’m okay for the first kill or two, but then it starts to lag and drops me to character select. Twice with one party member, and again while solo. Earlier today I was able to get a bit farther, but eventually d/c’ed during a later battle.
It seems folks complain about it for a week or two, and then the threads go quiet. So I’m thinking it’s either a recurring bug or something that breaks with a patch and is fixed in a following patch…
Or perhaps the server’s just too overworked on the weekend for such a high-number NPC quest?

Yea, it’s bugged for me as well. It always happens after reviving Deputy Mira, but it’s random when it happens. I tried repairing the game, but it still kicks me out. I don’t have the trebuchet problem. I’ve been through Claw Island with two characters before, and this hasn’t happened.
This happened to my brother and I yesterday. He got DC’ed first then I got DC’ed about ten minutes later while I was trying to figure out the trebuchet.

I did a -repair and when i attempted the quest again i saw some signs of lag early on, but got farther than normal so i thought it was going to work. Unfortunately, i still got disconnected (although this time it was later, i was able to light the beacons first).
This lag party is not only happening on claw island. It is happening in all personal story instances for me. The normal game runs quite well, usually, but these personal story things are just crazy. Almost looks like they run them on an old pentium3 server. Luckily I didn’t disconnect completely, probably because 3 years have passed and less people play these instances simultaneously. However, there were a few moments when I almost died because of these lags.
