Been seeing several bug reports on various HoT maps during big events. Seems I’m having the same issues as others. Twice today during Battle of Tairir in Auric Basin my client crashed in the middle of the fight. Each time this happens I was originally in a populated map and then when I come back I’m in a map that is under populated and the event even hasn’t been hit yet and both times it has failed because of lack of people. Thus neither time I have gotten the reward for finishing the event. Please if this can be fixed I would appreciate it. Seeing as it is extremely frustrating that I am not getting the event competition except for a fail seeing as I am kicked out of the instance that would have won. When this happens my client freezes and an error message comes up. Please fix this if possible and has anyone else experienced this?

I am having exactly the same problem. It crashes, usually during the Battle of Tairir, kicking me out of a winning map into one that has 3 people in it. It is really frustrating. I faithfully send the error report (when that does not crash as well) . . . and nothing. I thought this would have been fixed by now. At least I wish you guys could set it up so that I can get back into the map I was just in.

Crashed again. Was in a winning map, again. Got kicked to a map where we lost, again.

You might want to try out 64-bit client if you haven’t yet. It fixed all the crashes for me in new maps which generally occur due to OOM (out-of-memory) issue except some rare ones which I never got so far (lucky me?).

To get it you need to go to your account area on Guild Wars 2 site and download the 64-bit EXE file from there. It DOES NOT require you to re-download the game, you just put it near the old 32-bit EXE file in the game directory and run the game using it.

It is true that it is in beta but I had zero issues with it so far, so I would recommend trying it if you are actually crashing a lot.

If you don’t want to try it for some weird reason – you can lower game visual settings, that helps as well but you will be forced to play on those low settings on new maps all the time.
