The boss will occasionally lock you into a cage. Just attack it until it breaks…..

The cage is not a target, there is no other targettable item to break it, ergo people stuck in cage…. therefore game over, as no player can move, do anything.

Bumping this. Happening to my group right now.

For 30 mins we are trying to find a way to die(!) so we can res from last checkpoint, but we couldnt, had to call it eventually. What a disappointment.
