As the title indicates, my concern is regarding combos, I am an elementalist so they are very important to my play.

When with a large group of people (like in the mad kings labrynth) I have noticed my finishers are not triggering in fields I use them in. When I lay down a fire field and use my blast finishers I expect to see a stack of 7 mights on me, just by myself using only labeled abilities (dragon’s tooth, arcane wave), this was not happening, I would put my fire field down, use my blast finishers and have nothing..no stacks of might, nor any other triggered buff. The same happened with water fields/blast finishers…no big aoe heal. This ONLY happened while with a large group of people. There is one other time when I was not with a large group that I noticed my finishers not triggering in the combo fields, and this was with a rangers water field and my blast finishers, it did nothing, no aoe heal…

Not entirely sure what is going on here, but as heavily as Elementalists rely on comboing to accomplish anything worthwhile, it is making it very tough to be an asset to a group when they do not trigger properly.

So, am I REALLY the only one who has noticed this?

Try to pay attention to the combo pop-up messages. You are most likely triggering the combo finisher in someone else’s combo field, causing a different effect than what you expected. A finisher will only interact with one field, so if 5 other people have a field in the same area, any finishers will only be working with one of them.
