Is anyone else having the same problem as me with the commander tag not working properly.

1. have had commander tag on, change character and when come back am not a commander but com tag is showing as active above skill bar. But when I turn on commander tag nothing happens

2. turn on commander tag and nothing happens,

3. turn commander tag off and nothing happens.

4. reboot game and it works again or reboot game and still not working

getting very frustrated with this, have sent in numerous bug reports over the last 4 months and still nothing.

would really like to know if more people are having this issue.

I got the same problem, i just bought mine yesterday. it was working yesterday and today like 5h ago. But if i want to tag up now it does nothing..

Mine stopped working today as well…

I have the same problem. It only works on few maps, on most it doesn’t work.

yep same problem, commander icon is working on only 1 borderlands and thats it.

I just checked again and mine works on 2 of the 4 maps.

Same happening here, its not working on any WvW map! This is annoying as hell!!

Mine is working again on all maps, but it seems other commanders are now having the same problem for the first time…

When I’ve experienced this problem, I’ve found that moving back and forth between maps usually (although not always) “solves” it, in that if you want it on and you select it to be toggled on and switch maps, it’ll usually come up but you won’t be able to turn it back off again without repeating the same trick the opposite way. It being on your skill bar or not doesn’t appear to be affected by this – it either ends up stuck there or not.

The next time I have trouble with it, I’ll have a play around with it and see if I can answer that question though.

I could create a squad but nothing happened. The icon on the skill bar didn’t show either. Quiting game, restarting, switching between characters, nothing would solve it. The day after, everything was normal.

Okay, when logging in today, I was stuck with the commander status in my boons/conditions bar, but could not toggle commander on and off (i.e. the blue dorito didn’t show up). After selecting to create squad, I was also unable to use commander commands. For the simple version, see the attached screenshot.

Possibly worse, switching between maps with it on/off didn’t make a difference – as far as I can tell, it’s stuck off, even after restarting the client, etc.

Just to follow up on this, at the moment my tag isn’t working at all, no matter what I do, in certain maps such as Malchor’s Leap, Red Borderlands in WvW, etc. The icon will show up in the status bar, but the tag itself will never appear. In contrast, it almost always (if not always) works on certain other maps, e.g. LA, Blue Borderlands, etc.

If need be, I can run around every map cataloging what does and does not work, if that would be of any assistance. It’d be genuinely nice to see this fixed, as obviously it’s rather frustrating at times.

Same here, sometimes it’s stuck on even though i’ve switched it off and sometimes it won’t switch on….

I didn’t have problems since the last time I reported this. Today the problem is suddenly back and I can’t get it to work again. This time it’s only in wvw on Blackgate Borderlands that it’s not working… still very annoying since it’s my own borderland..

Btw, none of the commander tools are working when I’m bugged..
