Commander's Compendium on trading post
This is not a bug, because those compendiums were posted before they became account bound. They were left there in hopes of a sale because if they cancelled the post, they’d have to keep it because upon transition to the inventory, it becomes account bound.
Yes, but now there is no reason to keep this, because there is no any compendium to sell so They (Dev team) could safe delete this item from listing and return all gold for ordered items (because there is no way to buy this anymore).
They haven’t found a good way to update TP listings.
It’s a lot of work to create a script to find all items offered for sale that can no longer be sold and all buy offers for items that cannot be purchased any longer (or where the price is lower than vendor +1c). Well, it’s not that creating a script is such a big deal, but validating it and ensuring it runs perfectly — can you imagine the outcry and confusion if ANet removed even 10 legit orders? It’s far easier to wait for people to remove their own listings and let the problem (slowly) resolve itself.
I agree with the OP that this sounds like a bug, but I doubt very much it’s going to be addressed any time soon.
@OP: if you want ANet to address this for your account, file a support ticket; that’s the only way to ensure individual attention.
Yes, making a script or something like that does that query is not that hard. Ensuring it works perfectly and it won’t give any side-effect is a different story…
I have seen several other items on TP that’s impossible to complete a transaction and they have been there for some time now. An example is a level 5 Norn Greatsword with Fine rarity (see this), it has a lot of orders placed (even reaching golds) but 0 sell listing and the item was never seen in game as far as I know. No one can buy it because no one never sold it.

There is small difference between items You can’t have (so you can’t lose anything, like this norn greatsword) and items You can’t sell (Yes it’s also my fault because I didn’t read that account bound note, but if I see on tp few items ordered I could assume there is a way to sell it).
there is no difference for me, if this bug (or not ) will be fixed, My 100g are gone, I have second commander compendium and there is no chance for refund, or even transfer it to my friend, but I wanted to create this topic maybe for others player.
@Khesi: what did Support say in response to your ticket? 100g is a lot of money and this wasn’t easily preventable: you didn’t get a warning message when you put the money up, the item description doesn’t say it can be resold. Somehow, it seems to me that there might be something they can do for you.
just also take a moment to note pvp items are also still on the tp even though they dont do anything
@Illconceived Was Na
Response for my ticket was clear, there is nothing what they can do with it, it was my decision to buy another compendium and it was my mistake I didn’t read that account bound note even if item seems be tradable (because it is on tp ). They also can’t transfer this compendium for my friend (they didn’t say why).
I don’t even want create another ticket because in my opinion one answer was enough and any other tickets with this problem will be pointless.

I’m sorry to hear that. In your shoes, I might follow-up on the ticket by reopening it. Sometimes, the first level of support that addresses your ticket follows a kind of script for dealing with common situations. That person is almost never able to consider special circumstances or voluntarily escalate to someone with more authority.
If you ask politely, I feel certain that you can get a supervisor to review the situation. They might still conclude that it was your fault & there’s nothing to be done. But, they might also be able to figure something.
I think it’s reasonable to expect that stuff on the TP that was sold once could be traded again to someone else. I’ve made similar mistakes before, but all were under a gold or two. This one is 100g and seems too big not to get a second look.
Good luck whatever you decide.
Thanks, but I still I don’t see any sense in reopen ticket, 100g it’s only ~8 days of playing for me so it’s not so big deal
