Compact inventory on my guardian does now work (it works on every other character) this is a prove

I bought new bags, wore them and puff, it does not work. I tried to wear them off and wear again, still didn’t help.

I have this problem with the fractal equipment boxes, I thought it was just the fractal ones that compact was broken with. Please fix this!

Compact doesn’t work on any “specialty” bags like equipment bags. No idea if that is supposed to be a bug or feature.

It’s a feature. Segregated bags/boxes will not compact.

For it to be a feature it would have to be providing some benefit. I can’t think of any benefits for it except when I accidentally click compact and nothing happens(that is exactly what I want to happen, I never want to compact). On the other hand just because I can’t think of a benefit doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

Edit: Oh I guess I can think of one. Since these bags are used for autosort it wouldn’t make sense for compact to go and mess it all up.

Not sure if it’s a feature so much as a design concession to make sure items stay in the auto-sort or invisible bags.

From what I have seen only items on Starter or other common bags are affected by Compact. Equipment/Crafting/Invisible bags aren’t affected. I have always seen it as a feature but it would be nice to have Compact for them too, but not to send the items on it to other bags (that would spoil the purpose of these segregated bags) but clustering items on its first slots, as it does on normal bags.

This. It’s a pain to join a larger event and after it to look for overflowed equipment which filled slots of depositable items in crafting bag among all those runes and sigils.
