The Necromancer’s scepter 1 skill, Blood Curse, displays a tooltip of a 4 second bleed. The actual bleed applied lasts 5 second without any condition duration effects.
This also impacts the way condition duration effects Blood Curse’s bleed. So, with 20% longer bleeding duration from the Curse trait, the bleed ticks for 6 seconds(6 ticks). If the duration were calculated from a base of 4 seconds, 20% would only increase the duration of the bleed by .8 seconds, resulting in 5.8 seconds(5 ticks). Because of this, I’m assuming it’s just an error in the tooltip.
Edit: I forgot to mention that condition duration obtained from Runes in gear is not displayed on the tooltip where as C.D. from traits is.
This seems to be a known bug; I’ve seen players mention it being wrong, and it’s on the GW2 wiki, but I couldn’t find any official posts on the forums concerning this error(I could be mistaken, the forum’s search bar is very specific).
Here are a few images to display the problem, although I don’t know if they’ll help as it’s a pretty basic error. In the 3rd image I have 2 sets of runes which should increase my condition duration by 30%.
