Me too, its driving me nuts , and all started after new patch

I get error 7:1000:7006:462 all the time

Connection Error Detected retrying server down?

It was mentioned in this post already but after coming across issues when re-installing today i found a fix to help with re installing as well as connection using the google public authentication servers (DNS) found here https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.

First off go to your Network and sharing settings, then click on change adaptor settings, then right click on your network adaptor you use and click properties.

At this stage you will be greeted with a window like this http://prntscr.com/furshj

First we will deal with TCP/IPv4, Highlight it and click properties to see this window http://prntscr.com/fursxf (ignore what is in the DNS for now)

Click on Advanced click on the TAB DNS http://prntscr.com/furth7 (ignore the 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 in mine) if you have any IP’s in here Write them down for back up you may need them and they maybe there for a reason, after that is done click okay and return to the previous window.

In the bottom section select the Use the following DNS server addresses and use these

Preferred DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
Alternative DNS Server: 8.8.4.4

Make sure to tick Validate settings upon exit and click okay.

Now to do the same thing with TCP/IPv6 but use these DNS servers instead
Preferred DNS server:2001:4860:4860::8888
Alternative DNS server:2001:4860:4860::8844

and tick Validate settings upon exit.
Click okay.

At this point it may running Troubleshooting Network connections let this run it is just validating, if no errors occur which it shouldn’t re run your Guild wars 2 and it should work.

This worked for me without adding any -assetsrv or -authserv to my shortcut i’m from Europe too, so i cant say it will work for everyone but maybe a fix for most

I hope this will help most of you currently having issues and this won’t be removed but alas upon attempting to reinstall after a long break today i encounter Connection errors galore with the -assetserv and -authserv shortcut trick not working for me, this is posted someone in other posts too but i thought i would leave this here for those looking for a quick fix.

My target looks like:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe” -authsrv 64.25.38.172 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2

I am in New York state and after not being able to get in since 6am, I tried this and I now am in game.

I would like to put emphasis on the save / write down any IP you may have in the DNS windows you have already as back up you will most likely need to revert back to these after the issue is fixed

EDIT: Also if you attempted this and it worked or didn’t let us all know.

EDIT2: I thought i would add this if you right click your properties and put this at the end -authsrv 206.127.146.73 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2 ( 64.25.41.3 and 64.25.41.4) on this last bit may work as well instead of 64.25.41.2 http://prntscr.com/fusdq5

Good to hear at least it will be left here in-case issues arise again or in the late future

Works at first (lets me log in and get into the game), but my entire game crashes few moments later. I havent experienced such crash issues before, so for me that doesnt work at the moment. Thank you for posting it tho, seems it worked for quite a few people. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, so we all can log in without any of those workarounds.

If you have ArcDps installed, that could be why.

If you have ArcDps installed, that could be why.

Right… I do have both ArcDps and BGDM at the moment and there was a new build. DPS meters do indeed cause that kind of issues with new game build. Thank you for the reminder. I will check it out.

Whats going on? Since last night i keed receiving this message of: ‘’No conecction’’ as soon as i open the launcher. But I’m sure i have internet. How to solve this?

There’s a couple of issues, but it boils down to your computer having trouble finding ANet’s computers. The link above offers a work-around that has helped most people using it, but it’s no guarantee.

Part of it is outside ANet’s control. So some people, unfortunately, will just have to wait for the situation to resolve itself.

Remember to remove the shortcut once we find out that all is well. (At some point, the specific numbers won’t work, but leaving them out should always work, except in extreme situations like we have today.)

Suddenly i can’t connect anymore. You?

I write my user-pw and then it says i can’t connect. Blaiming my firewall or something, which is not true or right.

Anyone else having this problem since now?

Dc’d in WvW 30 minutes ago now getting error connecting to login server try again. For almost 45 minutes now on NA. The same thing is and did happen to a friend I was partied with and talking to on skype.

I also get "the game client was unable to gain access to the log-in server.

I was playing fine after i edited the Destiny of the exe (read on forums) cause before i wasn’t even able to play the game.

And now for different reasons, im back to “nothing”.

The devs are aware.
