Guild Wars 2

I have been trying to log into gw2 for about 4 hrs now without success. The patch starts to dl, i get maybe 10 files, then recieve the message “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying……”

Port forwarding is correctly set up, firewalls etc all checked. Nothing on my comp that i can find is interfering with the game.

I am running winxp home ed, sp3. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks to Empressium for sending me a pm with a suggestion for my issue, unfortunately it didn’t help.

The suggestion was to run netsh winsock reset.

This is really annoying the hell out of me, my guild had events planned for today and the rest of this weekend and it looks like i may not be able to join them, if i am able to log in at all in the future.

In the years i have been playing mmo’s I have NEVER had such a frustrating issue arrise and then not had any response from tech support.

I have also been having this issue … I have no idea what is going on, I have tried everything including updating router firmware. Where are you based perhaps its a regional issue ?? Im in NZ

This might not apply to you, but it sure solved my problem. Client started giving me that error as soon as I installed AVG 2013, I had to disable it to be able to run the game with no errors. Firewall was disabled for the game, too. Maybe check your anti-virus?

I have AVG2013, I had the same problem, but to me it seemed more a server issue than AVG issue… As after I installed the update, I haven’t had the same problem again. It was just Thursday night, when the update had just gone live…

And a friend of mine, who doesn’t have AVG, has the same problem as well. He’s been stuck at 50/60% since Thursday evening, has had the downloader running since then and it just doesn’t do anything…
