Guild Wars 2

So recently since Saturday I’ve been getting weird connection issues from the game and am just wondering as to why?

I know it’s not on my end since I can stream movies and play other games just fine but this one I cannot get past the loading screen after clicking what toon to play as. Has this just been a thing that’s been popping up? Or is it just a client issue and possibly will need to be re-downloaded?

Im getting error code 42:0:9001:4418:101. That’s the ‘the game client cant reach the log in servers at this time’

My internet is perfectly fine. Ive tried resetting the modem, restarting the computer, resetting the wireless stick.

Obviously its not a firewall thing..nothings changed.

Ive encountered this twice—where it will give me that error trying to log in, or it will log in and I cant move maps without a d/c. Trying to log into the same character will get me to a never ending loading page.

Last time a modem reset cleared it up but this time, not so much.

Im hoping it will somehow clear on its own but at the moment the game is just about unplayable, and I cant warm my guildmates or friends or give them a heads up since you are unable to ‘see’ them online or send a whisper.

Going to go out on a limb and say it might be impacted by more people logging in frequently? I do get the same code it seems to work ok-ish with huge stuttering for no reason during off hours.

Probably they already know of this problem and are trying to fix the issue but it might just be a can of worms at the moment. Hoping for the best preparing for the worse lol.

I’ve been having the same issues for the past 2 weeks or so, including the “unable to access login server”. It’s not constant, but it is frequent. I haven’t had this issue in 3 years, but now I’m getting terrible, if sporadic lag and disconnects. It’s a newish PC, running everything on ultra, just fine. I ran the repair, and reset the hardware. No issues with connectivity with other software.

Game is currently unplayable for me too..Huge lag spikes, unable to use skills most of the time. The problem appears only with GW2.

Same here. It was completely fine yesterday, but today it lags so much it’s impossible to play.
