Constant crashing [Merged]
I haven’t crashed since I went from 32-bit to 64-bit but with the release of the July 26th patch I have started crashing frequently again in WvW.

Don’t know if this is related but i can consistently reproduce the crash by mouse over the reward track above mini map in wvw.
Game crashing.. Sometimes once a hour sometimes every minute?
So ever since the patch my game is crashing. I’ve been sending reports all the time but still no fix as of yet. It feels totally random but the thing I always seem to read the the AimIK bones part:

Anyone else having this? It seem to be a Guild Wars 2 problem only as all my other games run without problems.
So I’ve noticed that there are plenty of times when my screen randomly turns black or freezes. No bug report or anything. Audio still plays. I’m forced to restart the game, and then it seems fine? Weird!
I’m in the same situation, same error message and never crashed until last patch. I tested yiksing.9432’s suggestion for reproducing the crash and it does so on my system as well. As soon as i mouse over the reward track above the minimap, i crash.
I might have found a temporary workaround until this gets fixed properly.
I noticed that i was doing the hero reward track and that it was complete ( 20000 / 20000 ) at the time i was crashing.
After manually changing to a different reward track, mouse overing no longer caused me to crash but instead displayed the usual progress bar.
Hope this helps anyone having the same issue.

Huge thanks to mark.3160. I was on a different reward track but was also at 20000 / 20000. Activating a different reward track solved the crashing problem here.

Sexiest Level 80 Charr Guardian In The Game
For some reason, my game crashes almost exactly every 30 minutes, regardless of what I am doing. This has only been going on since the patch, but I also got a new computer on patch day. Computer has no issues with other games at all. This game causes it to 100% freeze and need to be restarted, and it has happened 4 times today already.
I don’t know how to report a freeze/crash in-game, since I obviously can’t when it happens. Any suggestions? etc.? TYIA.

I mainly play PvE, so that’s my only experience with the crashes. In the past my crashes resulted in stuck monitor and stuck sound, but now it’s resulting in just stuck graphics and it shuts down all sound instead. And I know the sound is gone cause I listen to youtube videos in a background tab.
Super annoying Anet! I’ve been trying to get this mastery point for a week. Either the group stinks or whenever we are about to kill him my client crashes. It has happened twice. I waited an hour prior to reset for a good group for nothing twice now.! Please fix this. Matter of fact my game has been crashing a few times since the patch but never before.

Since patch game client has been crashing due to unexpected error… freezes up the entire computer, have to restart.
This happens on WvW. After the last patch, every-time I hover the mouse close to the yellow chest that appears on the upper-right top of the mini-map, the game immediately crashes. It happens every single time.
Make sure to have a Reward Track selected to avoid crashing.

Tequatl, Shatterer, any major world boss causes my game to crash. Seems like whenever there are too many people the game just gives up and crashes.
Please fix this. It is beyond frustrating to wait an hour for a run then have it crash and you can’t get back into the map b/c its full.
Its been happening daily since the 7/26 update. It happens like 1/3-1/2 of the time.

Just throwing it out there: Large group moving on the high priestess, I crash once…cannot log back in, as clicking “select this character” results in a CTD a mere 2-3 seconds later.
For what it’s worth: I’m logging from EU as well.
I have crashed multiple times on this fight this evening. While I’m using the 64 bit client, I haven’t had crashing issues til now. Based on comments after I logged back in, others were experiencing similar issues as well.
Any help understanding this/working around it would be appreciated.

The whole group keeps D/cing at the last boss of SE P1,.. tried it 4 times in a row very annoying… the dugenon resets because it kicks everyone out.
Lyssa’s temple is crashing everyone who does the event. Its happening on multiple ips, not just one, and seems to affect everyone around the temple.

It also locks out your character. Every time I tried to log back on the affected characters, the game would instantly crash again. About half an hour later, I could finally get back on and move the characters away to safety. Lyssa was still up so clearly no one had been able to kill her.
I noticed that it might be linked to her invulnerability ability, since that’s when both my characters started crashing. (Yes, I was stupid enough to bring a 2nd character to fight her after the first got locked out.) :P When I was able to get back on, no one was fighting her and the seals were contested again.

My party got 3 times crashed when we pulled the SE final boss to waypoint. But the game did not crash when we were fighting at the boss appearing spot.
Are there any new setting at the SE P1 final boss after 10 Aug’s patch update?

It could be that, but it seemed to be the teleport skill that the priestess casts to create clones… anytime someone got teleported out of the altar area everyone around that person crashed. I was there for a long time with guildies and that seemed to be the skill that always crashed us.

Same issues with Priestess of Lyssa (NA).
Also having this issue. So much as approaching the central dais causes a crash, then each subsequent time I try to log back onto that character, I crash on the load screen. I too brought a second character, and she crashed on approach as well. In both cases, other players had already engaged the Priestess.
My party was crashing in both spots… to the spot when u pull tazza out of their room or even fighting both bosses in the same room.
I’ve done SE p1 multiple times today, with multiple groups, but every time we go to kill Tazza, whether we’re pulling her, or fighting her where she spawns, the game always crashes

today in borderland every thing as hang I could move on the map but could not pass door of keep could not cast skill. weird part is that it did not show issue with fps or ping before during or after did not get a report either. logged out .
then came back and later on playing in the new ls3 map on the second jade armor fight got a crash just after the fight was mining 2 nodes near the wall.

Same thing. I never, ever crashed before the 26th patch, but now I crash randomly. Sometimes while I’m happily running around in the wilderness, sometimes harvesting, and last time, at Gorseval, as we were running to the first updraft.
2 of those times, it sent me back to desktop with the error message, only my whole computer is then frozen, can’t even use tasks, and I have to hard reboot.
Very very very annoying.

AimIK solver is a modification of the CCD algorithm that rotates a hierarchy of bones to make a child Transform of that hierarchy aim at a target. It differs from the basic built-in Animator.SetLookAtPosition or the LookAtIK functionality, because it is able to accurately aim transforms that are not aligned to the main axis of the hierarchy.
AimIK can produce very stabile and natural looking retargeting of character animation, it hence has great potential for use in weapon aiming systems. With AimIK we are able to offset a single forward aiming pose or animation to aim at targets even almost behind the character. It is only the Quaternion singularity point at 180 degrees offset, where the solver can not know which way to turn the spine. Just like LookAtIK, AimIK provides a clampWeight property to avoid problems with that singularity issue.
AimIK also works with rotation limits, however it is more prone to get jammed than other constrained solvers, should the chain be heavily constrained.
Aim provides high accuracy at a very good speed, still it is necessary to keep in mind to maintain the target position at a safe distance from the aiming Transform. If distance to the target position is less than distance to the aiming Transform, the solver will try to roll in on itself and might be unable to produce a finite result.
