"Consumable" guild influence "items"
bump. Is this intentionally misdescribed as a consumeable item? What are my chances of having the gold refunded and the influence rolled back?
Honestly I doubt you will get a refund. The only way now is to use influence of your main guild on old server. Influence is per server, so your if you have permission to use boosts/banners you will at least use it to your own benefit. I think there is no way to transfer that influence to your personal guild.
But the reason for the mistake was the misdescription of what was supposed to be an item (labelled “double click to use”) at the guild promoter that I was being sold. It didn’t occur to me that I’d have to stand down and represent my dummy guild before buying what appeared to be an item…
It seems amazing that if this has been a bug since beta it is still not fixed! No surprises that despite making an IG bug report and notifying here I’ve heard nothing from the team…
Just a question, why don’t you ask for guild permissions and just use your old guild bank and stuff which is already upgraded
Good question:
The guild bank would require me to be ranked at officer – a privilege that few have in my 400+ guild, and since I can no longer help them out in WvW, not one I can really seek. I WAS actually using the treasure trove (which I had permissions for), but an “Unknown User” cleared it out with all my sigils, jewellery, 8 exotics and a bunch of yellows that I was saving for the mystic toilet. I guess they turned up as Unknown User in guild log because they gquit afterwards?
Mistakes by players are not refunded so far. If you want to have an answer, write a ticket. The forum is a place to inform other players or to discuss with them. Solving of personal problems is never done on a forum.
This is not a mistake by a player. It is a misdescription of an item available from a vendor, as explained above.
If it is just an influence problem, I have one myself (which is why I am looking here), but I posted it in a special guild problems sticky. That is the place designed for by Anet people.
If “somebody” cleared out a guild bank, that is not part of Anet’s job to get it repaired.
If there is some technical bug (which is not guild related – as explained in the existing sticky), it should be reported and worked on separate from the guild sticky.
Just my opinion.
PS I don’t see on this page http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Influence#Acquisition that the guild promoter is offering consumables. So I stick to my opinion. It does not seem to be a bug. I always thought, that if I spend the amount there, I would work directly. Anet is not responsible for people assuming otherwise.
And the rest of the topic was answered by me as well. When there is ANY problem write a ticket.
