I sent a support ticket about this and tried to search on here for anyone with a similar problem but there were no matches.
For the past week or so I’ve been having “…” show as the ArenaNet name for most people on my Contacts List, Followers List and Guild Roster. It doesn’t matter what computer I’m logged in on, it seems to be something specific to my account. My wife who plays sitting right next to me doesn’t have the issue, so it seems to be unrelated to our guild.
The issue also effects notifications for people logging in and out of the game, it simply tells me “… has come online/offline.”
An official response indicating that this is a known issue even would be amazing, it’s just getting a little old having to ask my wife who someone is or who just came online every few minutes.
