Ok, so, Lost Shores was an utter failure: it lagged so much I couldn’t even understand where my character was going, and got disconnected exactly when that giant karka died. No chest for me, no big loot. But that’s fine, I mean, I’m level 36, so whatevs, I’ll have plenty of other occasions to get an exotic.

The problem is, it has been 4 days since that event, and I am still lagging. My internet connection is fine, and before Lost Shores, it ran smoothly almost everywhere (some minor delay in Lion’s Arch, but I think that’s normal).
I have a Mac OS X 8.2, and it has all the necessary requirements. I play in Piken Square. I just want to know if I’m the only one to experience this post-LS effects, and what can I do about it.

I have not had any connection problems up until the lost shores event, and all of a sudden my connection quality in the game has turned to mush. Massive lag spikes, people not showing up where they should be and doing what they should be (even in dungeons). Every other time-dependent application and game I use is working fine. This is a problem with Guild Wars 2, and it happened during and after Lost Shores. I know this thread is old, but I’d like to chronicle my woes where I can.

I’m no expert, but my guess is that the spikes of player activity during the lost shores event overheated and permanently damaged some game servers.

I’ve been experiencing the same issues. I can almost guarantee that it is not my system’s fault. I am fairly certain that it’s not my connection’s fault.

No more non cosmetic world event rewards. We haven’t forgotten the Ancient Karka.
