When you are crafting the series from which it takes materials from you to craft is currently: Inventory -> Bank/Storage -> Collections. This is not right when you think about it.

Yes, it should initially take mat’s out of inventory for usage, but after that, it SHOULD use all available materials in collections (it is after all a collection of your crafting resources….), not storage/bank, where you place items you wish to hold and/or keep for later. The series of available resource usage should go: Inventory -> Collections -> THEN Storage/Bank.

Every time I wish to craft something I must take out exactly the ecto I need from collections and place into inventory b/c I am also slowly saving a stash for the o’ so many things ecto’s are needed to produce/upgrade as well; without doing this it takes the resources from my storage, which I take as a place to put materials sometimes that I will later deem usage for, not everyday crafting.

If you want to suggest a change in a properly working mechanic, go to a specific subforum and make a suggestion.
This been said, NO. The priority is working as it should. That you’re saving for something in the stash doesn’t mean the rest of us need to be using storage space for nothing. You’ll have to live with it. Feel free to ask Arenanet to change it, but the priority was a meditated decission, so you would need a mayority of players to side with you. And that I can alredy tell you, won’t happen.
