An eastern skill point capture in Kessex Hills seems to be bugged. This is the one where there is a ‘Portal to the Underworld’ and 3 shades come out.

Everytime I engage them it crashes my game, and my computer. I have to restart.

This has occurred 3 times in a row. I am running GW2 on Windows7 64bit.

Not sure if this has been fixed, but I haven’t tried it since Saturday (its now Monday).

Thanks!

It crashes for computer? Are your GPU isn’t overheating? Are you using HardwareMonitor or SpeedFan to manage/observe your tempatures?

Good luck. I hope it’s resolved.

I have 8gb of RAM, 1GB video RAM, core i7.

I have had no latency/bug issues whatsoever other than just this one spot.

I have the same problem as Mathew Kline. Basically the game crashes every time there’s Shades (the mob) around, in the swamp in Kessex Hills, in the skill chellange in Kessex Hills and in the instance (lvl 26 noble human) where a priest is summoning a ghost. And it hangs the entire computer, forcing me to hard reboot.

I have a nVidia Geforce GTS 250 and have tried with old, new and beta drivers with the same result. I don’t think it’s overheating because I’ve tried to enter these areas when the computer has been shut off for a while and it still crashes. In other areas I can play for several hours without crashing.
