My wife and I just finished up Point of No Return for her character, and when she attempts to accept her rewards, the game crashes, not only for her, but for me as well. This happens even when my character is not in her party. The games only crash when she attempts to accept her rewards; she can log into her other characters just fine.
Some type of major issue going on. Lots of posts like this are piling up but it’s a bigger thing than just this point of no return reward. It’s happening across most maps.
I got disconnected 3 times in 30 seconds. A guild mate of mine crashed when he tried to accept his daily login reward. I think ArenaNet has connection issues or there is something wrong on the lines to Europe.
Huh, so it is tied to accepting Point of No Return rewards? If it is, I think it is causing the whole map’s gamestate to get corrupted and everybody on the map to crash and roll back. I suspect it has something to do with the video item reward, that probably isn’t supposed to drop after the PAX event.

Unfortunately if it is indeed connected to the reward, it is also possible to change maps before accepting the reward. And if especially malicious players have caught on…
it’s not just that. It’s everything. There is something going on between the maps and the login server I am assuming. You can be in for a while and then it will just up and disconnect you.
So does the double exp affect personal story/chest EXP rewards? I wonder if the game is freaking out when any story reward is accepted during the double EXP time.
I have crash and DC problems in Straits of Devastation during exploring the map and trying to start another chapter of personal story… I didn’t try to accept rewards or anything. This happens only with one of my characters, every other character seems fine to me.
I hope Anet help on this problem soon…
Same thing, finished story, awards appear on my screen, i move around other maps normaly but as soon as i hit accept on rewards, client boots me out. Playin’ from europe if its ANY help..
Well.. if anyone has a solution to this id love to hear it, can’t play with the giant lion shield and rewards on the middle of my screen.. And i don’t play anything except my guard cause its the most awsome class :P
