Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone, for about 5 months or so now i have been experiencing constant crashes and drop outs. I have done just about everything possible to fix it. I have ran -repair several times, i have opened ports on my router, lowered game settings. I just missed out on marionette loot because i crashed 3 times during the fight and was lucky enough to reconnect two of those times. I posted this same problem a couple of months ago and the problem still hasn’t been fixed. I would post crash reports but they seem to change with each crash. I don’t have any of these problems on any other game I play. I am extremely annoyed to the point where i don’t want to play anymore. I am simply at my wits end with the problem.

Try to run a memtest and see whwat happens, http://www.memtest.org/

without a crash report is pretty hard to help you.

I did have this issue, but upgraded from 32bit to 64bit windows, and now it never happens. I can even zerg in WvW pretty smoothly too.

I would say it’s very likely a memory issue. Unless that is you are already on 64bit.

Do you crash back to the character select screen with a message code: 7:11:3:191:101 ? This has been happening to me for at least a month now…

run guild wars with the “-Diag” switch… it’ll do a diagnostic.

Sorry for the late response everyone, I didn’t think anyone wasn’t going to answer. I will check through all your posts and try everything. So far i have redownloaded the whole game and there seems to be no difference. I have a strong feeling that it is a memory issue. I do have 64bit windows 7 and i have 8gb of ram. If i do figure out how to fix this i will post it and hopefully it will help others.

I’ll post a few crash reports to show you what i mean. It’s a mix of crashing to character select as well as full game crashes.

I just checked and apparently i had 2 dat files from when i reinstalled it so i got rid of the old one and then started the new one. The game seems to have improved but i will put myself into a few zergs and some wvw to make sure its fixed it self.

The game now doesn’t crash as much but still does crash and lag. I got a crash bug and this file comes up most of the time when it crashes. I hope someone can help.

I just did a diagnostic and from what I can tell i seem to be getting a packet loss in places. Is it my ISP (iinet) that is the problem?
