A suggestion to the developers. I’ve played MANY many MMOs though out the years and one my biggest complaints in GW2 is that the creatures spawn too fast after killing them. I can see 30 seconds or maybe a little more, but when I was testing it out it on the night of 3-19-2013 it seemed to be around 15 seconds.

So basically by the time you kill the one, then move a little further the one has spawned right behind you. Not so bad sometimes, but in the more populated areas where there are a lot of creatures it can make for a lot less fun then you might want to have.

And to anyone else I don’t want feedback at all. I know, be on your toes, pay attention. Whatever other flames you can think of, I am not interested. This is purely feedback for ArenaNet in hopes that this will be changed one day. OR changed depending on zone/population in a certain area.

There’s been a lot of discussion about this, but most of it was about Orr having more creatures spawning than it should. They fixed that a couple of months ago, but the developers seemed pretty happy with the rest of the game in general. They were also under the impression that the respawn timers were mostly somewhere around 90 seconds, as I recall…

However, I clearly remember that they said they’d take a look if we could give them a specific area/creature that was respawning too quickly. I know it’s hard to give specifics when it seems like about half the game has this problem, but if you know of any in particular, it couldn’t hurt to point them in that direction.

Keep in mind that some creatures are spawned as a result of dynamic events or heart tasks (I’m looking at you, Chaos Beasts in the Thaumanova Reactor). These aren’t necessarily subject to the “standard” respawn timers.

Thanks for that info RoyHarmon. And Fireheart Rise was the zone I was talking about. And specifically it didn’t have anything to do with the event spawned creatures. Just normal ones that weren’t anywhere near a heart or a event. IE The charr, fire elementals, tar oozes. To be honest almost all of the standard spawned creatures in the zone.

And ya some zones are not as bad (the ones I’ve been to so far), but that is the one that stands out the most. Mind you as I type this I am 10% away from 80 and have yet to check out every zone in game.

ugh…Fireheart Rise. I really despise that area so I do not go there unless I absolutely have to.

I have one character that actually completed the zone there but don’t plan to do it with any of my other characters any time soon.

I do agree that the mobs there just seem to be setup in such a way you have a hard time weaving through them without entering one or the other’s aggro radius. It took me a while to get through one field of fire mobs because of this.

someone at anet gets off on making game frustrating for you.I really dont see a reason for monsters to spawn as they do now,they should wait till i leave the friggin area.
