I’ve purchased quite a few pieces of cultural armor (full protector, now starting on assassin’s for thief) and for some reason or another, it isn’t progressing the “Human Specialty Armors” line in the “Fashion” tab in Achievements. I have no idea why this is happening, and since there are no other topics up on this subject, I wanted to bring it up. I’m trying to go for the The Emperor title and this has brought that to a halt. I’ve tried re-logging multiple times, even tried re-installing the game and nothing seems to work. Is it because of the latest redesign of the Achievements section? If anyone knows why this is happening or how I could resolve it, please let me know.

It doesn’t work like that, only the first six pieces of a tier you buy, will count towards, the achievement, you bought the Protector Set, tier 3 Heavy, so Assassin’s and Sorcerer’s won’t count anymore. The only way you can get the achievement now is getting pieces in lower tiers.

I think it needs 6 pieces from the inexpensive sets, 6 from the intermediate sets, and 6 from the expensive sets. Both the sets you list (Protector and Assassin) are in the expensive tier.

I should know as I have a bunch of the races complete but that was a while back. I usually bought them as complete sets as I leveled up (so inexpensive, medium, top tier) and they have always moved the increment up for me.

I’m not sure if it requires one each of each armor location per set or if like 1 heavy boot and one medium boot would count as 2. I have always bought the complete tier sets.

The good news is that the first two tiers of armor are less expensive, the bad news is you may not like them as much as the top tier.

Hmm, that explains why Assassin’s didn’t count. But I bought a piece of researcher’s(tier 1) and that didn’t count either..? I haven’t gotten tier 1 human cultural for any of my characters…
