We’ve had a few threads pop up about issues in viewing or using the Currency Exchange. The team is on the case and we will post when there’s some additional info to share.

its been a few hours. and yet it still refuses to exchange my gold for gems.
i enter the ammount, press buy, and it greys out and stays like that for minutes on end
I’ve been having the exact same issue since yesterday afternoon. I finally sent a bug report today after trying it about 30 times at different intervals.
i have the same issue since yesterday too..
kk so seems to be Anet’s side not us.

Same problem here, also seeing reports of players not able to purchase gems.

I’m still having this issue. C’mon Anet! I want to spend my Christmas gems!
Currency Exchange tab is completely blank for me. The other 2 tabs work fine.

That’s interesting cause a couple of days ago I had a ‘’connection error retrying’’ in the GW2 launcher for 4 days, my gw2 launcher just froze up after that connection error retrying and i had to ctrl+alt+del to close it
iono wtf is goin on but i’m sure arena will fix it, maybe some lines got messed up cause trees fell on them. trees crack and fall from the heavy snow all the time, sometimes powerlines sometines internet lines

Anyone having any luck with this yet? Still not working for me.
The currency exchange function worked after a couple of tries on my end. I wouldn’t purchase any gem items though; I’ve been waiting around an hour now and haven’t received the stuff I bought.

Same problem with gold change for gems
i still cant purchase gems, this started just a few hours ago
Im actually trying to do it the other way around getting gold, but yeah still not working.
I will speak on behalf of them though, if they miss out on buying certain gem items because the exchange was down they should be kept in the gem store for longer

I haven’t had a problem at all. I exchanged for 150 gems to buy reading glasses for my cute female guardian just a few days after Christmas.
Maybe you guys need to clear the GW 2 cache again?

OK I followed this advice posted by StinVec and it fixed my issue. Clear the GW2 Cache.
Clear the game cache
In addition to ‘Running As Administrator’ helping with many issues other than just the TP, most TP-specific issues are primarily related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.
The quickest way to clear the GW2 Cache is to:
1) Ensure your game is completely closed.
2) Hold your “Windows Key” and press “F” to open Windows Search on your computer.
3) Search for “gw2cache”. It will find a folder called “gw2cache-{bunch-of-letters-and-numbers}” at: “C:\Users\YourComputerUserName\AppData\Local\Temp”
Delete this “gw2cache-{bunch-of-letters-and-numbers}” folder that is shown in the results.
4) Load up your game normally and your TP should now function properly.

I can’t exchange gold for gems either. I’m running the game as administrator, already deleted two (?) gw2chaché*bunchoflettersandnumbers* folders, and still cant make the exchange happen.
I input the ammount and when i click buy, the TP screen fade off and remain in that way till i get bored and close it….
i found miltyple files gw2cache numpers and letters what do i do do i delete them all?
HALP. I’ve cleared my cache and am running as an administrator and I still have a completely blank currency exchange screen. Please, ANet, I want to buy gems and convert them to gold but I can’t give you my money if I can’t buy my mats!

I’ve tried clearing my temp cache, but I’m still getting the same blank tab for currency exchange (complete with invisible “add more funds” buttons) as the user above.
mine has appeared but when i try and make the purchase it stays grey lol
