Guild Wars 2

Hi!

I am hoping to get this message out with the intent that it will reach the attention of the Guild Wars/Anet staff.

I play Guild Wars 1 and very seldom visit Guild Wars 2 (Unfortunately).
There have been a recent string of “DDoS” attacks on the servers themselves. To provide more detail – There is a player that I feel is behind these attacks. He claims that he can have the servers hit any time he wants via a contact he has. Normally I would ignore these claims and just consider it a troll – However, shortly after he makes these claims the servers do lag out many players and end up in disconnections.

I have the player’s in game name which should be able to provide Anet with a list of IPs he is associated with for verification and contact. Would these DDoS attacks also be traceable by Anet via network histories as well?

I really do not know where else to go with this message, but I feel that it is a serious enough offense that calls for an investigation/addressing the issue.

*Note – I am not the one being ddos’d as I have made sure that my ip has remained untraceable to the accused. Including deactivating my skype and changing my ip address and avoiding any other ip detection methods. So please do not think it is on my end.
