Ok so I got on at 6:40ish and was trying really hard to get my daily done. I got 2/5 completed and was super close to getting the other 3 when they reset. So I cut my losses and filed up my new dailies, I chose Leveler (I was close to leveling), Veteran slayer (Easy to kill trees in Queensdale), Gatherer, Karma Spender (So easy), and Champion Slayer.

Now it shjould be noted that before the dailies reset I put a few hits on the Champion cave troll, died, and WP’d to start other dailies. After the dailies reset, the troll died and I got credit for the daily champion slayer. So I finished the rest of my dailies and upon completing daily veteran slayer I leveled up and got that daily too.

Now id when the weird thing comes in: I got credit for both dailies. Two chests, double all the rewards. It was nice but I don’t think it was intentional. I’d like to keep the rewards if you don’t mind but I figured I would submit the issue here!

I also received 2 chests tonight when I finished my daily as well. I’m not super concerned about whether I get to keep the rewards or lose them. I thought I’d check on here and see if anybody else had posted about it. I saw in the other thread up above that a lot of people didn’t get a chest at all so I’d totally understand if they removed the extra daily. Just mainly wanted to chime in here and show that Brand isn’t the only one that this happened to.

I think its bugged if people are getting 2 while others, like me, didn’t get any at all

This is probably how some people were able to afford earrings+amulets on 1 character already.

I think i experienced this too, was trying to get daily on my warrior. I was at 4/5 when i accidentally fulfilled both requirements and got reward 2×...

I finished two categories at the same time for 4/5 and 5/5, and I got two daily chests as well.

I also got double rewards today when I was at 4/5 dailies done and finished the kills daily and leveler daily at the same time with that kill (not sure if it was just the kill xp or the 5/5 completion xp that put me over my level) and both rewarded me with a chest each simultaneously.

I got “Daily Leveler” from finishing “Karma Spender” and also didn’t get a chest

I was on 3/5, went to WVW and finished leveller and 50 kills at the same time. I got 2 daily chests as a reward

I received 2 daily reward chests. I submitted an in-game bug report.

I had 4/5 with only a little more experience required to level 71. So I decided to grind a few mobs to achieve ‘daily leveller’ as my 5th daily achievement requirement. When I levelled, I received 2 bouncing daily achievement chests. I opened them both and submitted an in-game bug report. I now sit at 5/5 daily achievements.

I’m guessing that by earrings you mean the accessory slot items? If that’s the case, I believe many people are getting those from the Guild vendor that was introduced with rewards for Commendations earned via the Missions. They were also added to the Laurel vendor to provide another way of obtaining them for those players who so choose.

Given the truly asinine prices Anet put on the Laurel-bought ones to punish those who aren’t in the mega-guilds able to unlock this content, I highly doubt the reason you cite is the real one.

Also got double chests today, was also at 4/5 challenges on gaining the 4th challenge also gave me the xp for the next level simultaneously giving me 5th challenge.

Think this may be if more than one challenge is completed simultaneously when completing your dailys you get a chest for each of those challenges.
Wonder if it also works completing daily kills and daily vet kills?

The bug is linked to “daily leveller”. If “daily leveller” is your 5th achievement, you receive 2 chests. If “daily leveller” is your 6th achievement, you receive 0 chests.

My last two were Ambient and Leveler and it got it on an ambient kill. Leveler wouldn’t give me ambient so it must have went the other way around. I must have gotten ambient then immediately gotten xp, but then I shouldn’t have gotten xp from an ambient kill, so that doesn’t make sense either. Not sure what happened. Think I got rewarded twice so I’m reporting it.

Also, I think I only have 5 complete. Maybe if the 4th triggers the 5th, then the 5th and 4th both give rewards?

Arenanet should look into this seriously because people are going to find ways to get 2 (or more) daily rewards regularly.

Same thing happened to me. I finished Daily Gatherer and Daily Leveler at the same time and I was awarded 2 daily chest, I too would like to keep the extra laurel ;p But I am posting here to let it know it happened to me.

I got two just as well. I just don’t remember what it was that I was finishing on mine. I do remember how ever that what ever the last one was that I finished was not one of the ones I had check marked for my daily.

I got two as well, tried to report it in game but didn’t find any suitable category to put it under? My double chest was also related to the “leveler” daily.

I also got two rewards. I haven’t logged on since the patch on the 26th, so there wasn’t any roll over from a previous daily I’m aware of. I am not sure if I completed two at the same time or one on/off the list as shown.

Was at 3/5, got gathering and leveler at the same time and got two chest.

I had a guild mate who has tried two days in a row and it seems to point to that getting two achievements at one time (whether 3/5 or 4/5 doesn’t matter), will result in getting double chests. First time was an accident, second time was a test, they are no longer going to be doing it (nor am I naming names), but that’s what they came up with.

I finished my dailies and received NO chest. And then I did a map completion and got nothing for it. So no rewards at all for playing.

Also got no rewards, made level 19 as I finished event and went to 6/5 parts for Daily.

to day i also completed 7/5 dailies, still not chest reward.

I got two chests and completed two achievements at the same time. Should I not open any of them, open one or open both? It’s really annoying with the little chest moving at the bottom right corner of my screen, but I don’t want to get banned for exploiting or anything.

Had the same problem. Completed 7 tasks so far and no chest.

Also tried to report it ‘in game’ but couldn’t find the right section to report it in.

No chest for me either… O.O

I did send a bug report.

I got two chests as well – to help with the debugging, I was at 4/5 then got TWO daily achievements at the same time (champion,leveler) – maybe that is the culprit. I have a second account I can go test that on here in about 30 min or so.

In other words, each part of the daily, when completed, gives xp. If that xp levels you, you can achieve the ‘leveller’ daily as well. If you complete the daily from the level achievement by levelling off of a daily achievement, you get two chests.

Just did champ/events at the same time on my second account and only got one chest…so maybe the issue lies with the leveler achievement. The first daily of the day I completed was the leveler achievement, so it probably is not causing people to not get anything (as far as that issue goes.)

I have finished all 9 Daily quests and didnt got reward. Have also send a bug report.

I have completed 8 out of 9 daily achievements and also did not recieved the reward chest. Attached my screenshot that I made just after I got the 8th achievement with the chest still locked.

My champ kill was to be my 5th one earned to get me 100% for the daily, I just so happen to earn a level up at the same time and I got no chest reward at all. I tried to relog and even went ahead and did every last one of the extra daily options and still no chest.

I had the opposite issue yesterday – had finished dailies the day before, after reset the progress tracker was properly showing 0/5, and as I set about finishing categories I managed to get 6/5 pretty much simultaneously (leveled and completed events) – no chest popped up. Wound up completing 2 more categories for a total of 8/5, no love, and switching characters/re-logging/etc didn’t help.

This is actually a pretty serious issue. Some people know how this works and are intentionally exploiting it to get double rewards.

i too, got 2 chests with laurels from the dailys once, and it was when i finished the level-up achievement as last, like some others stated here.

Today i realized i got the Message for achieving 3 skillpoints for the Daily EVERY time i got a lvl up even though i alrdy had that achievement done, when i wasnt finished with the other dailys yet. So i guess it has to do with lvling up as a requirement for the daily (leveler or skill points) and finishing it as fifth.

I just posted here and deleted it to go to the other thread for not getting daily rewards….could’t post to it…. :o I apologize if this is misplaced: I did not get my daily reward/chest today for completing the daily. I finished it 3-4 hours before reset (yes my computer clock is correct). Thanks.

I wonder if this might not be attributed to the recent time change?

This just might be what caused this.

Lucky you. I finished my daily just in time, got the chest, switched maps and it was gone. So no chest for yesterday daily even though I finished it on time.
