Guild Wars 2

I was on my alt today and I saw the daily chest pop up for tomes of knowledge. I decided to save opening it and wait til I get on my main to open it. When I got on my main. The chest wasn’t there. When I got back on my alt, it was still there. Is this supposed to be how it works?

Daily Log-in chests are soul-bound to the first character you log in with. So, yes, it is working as intended.
