Guild Wars 2

I noticed this yesterday in WvW, that I had 4% Crit Damage less than I used to. At first I thought I remembered it wrong or something, but I then did the math and I was suppose to have 71% Crit Damage, but instead had 67%. After I removed all my items, and re-equipped them, the stats went back to normal.

Today I had it again and I’m more aware of what the problem is. When I died and the item(s) got damaged, it counted it as broken and I didn’t get the stats from that item at all. Even if I repaired it, it would count as broken and not provide the stats.
If I however removed it and reequipped it, then the stats would return to normal.

This does not always happen and seems to be something that triggers the bug, so I can’t exactly be specific of what the reason that triggers it is. If needed though, I took some screenshots of when I had the bug from when my items were damaged, from when it was repaired and when it was reequipped. So if any further information is needed, I’ll gladly provide with what I can.

Update: Some more interesting information. This seems to trigger if you have damaged items and you enter water combat. Don’t know the specifics, but after I killed a fish in water, my crit damage was reduced. I had my boots damaged, but it like ‘removed’ my backpack item as its stats wasn’t counting (back item was not damaged). When I removed the backpack and put it back on, the stats it provided returned.

Bump for awareness.

Two days ago when I first noticed it, I was running around for three hours with stats not counting from two items. I’m very positive there’s tons more players running around with this bug and not even noticing it as they don’t know what their previous stats were.

This sounds like a significant bug, I will keep track of my stats from now to check this out.

Apologies for what may appear as ‘bumps’, but I consider this to be a pretty serious bug and it’s making me paranoid when I’m playing WvW. Making me check my stats every time I die or enter water and whatnot.

Until it is fixed, I’ll continue to keep this up once a day as more may end up noticing it and hopefully we can provide better details at what is causing it.

I haven’t forgotten about this bug and it’s still in place.

But since the last reset (friday 8th), I’ve encountered this bug a lot less for some reason. But during the last time I posted, it has happened about 3 times, last time was yesterday after a long underwater fight.
