i can’t do this challenge because the challenge emote does not appear in my instance. i got the other 2 achievement, but i cannot get this one due to this problem.

anet, acknowledge and fix this please. very annoying indeed.

I dont have it too, and reloging not helping.

So where is this mote suppose to be on entering the instance? i see Rox and Caithe with a green star above their heads but no mote. There is a blue short cut mote that appears for the 2nd part of instance but thats after you start it. I can’t complete this and relogging does not fix this problem. please fix .
p.s. or if you do not want to fix you can just give me credit instead

This is still bugged and blocking progress. Anet, if you’re not prepared to fix issues blocking progress, at least acknowledge them, thank you.

I still have this too. Anet, please address, this is blocking and denying us all those skins and ascended stuff that would be so nice to have after all the grind we put into the other parts. More importantly, please acknowledge our existence.

This is still bugged even after the latest updates and entering with someone (i.e. it’s their instance) who normally has a working challenge mote doesn’t fix it either.

All the motes did this to me. But this instance was a particular nuisance.

Personally out of all the suggestions logging into another character then back onto the one I intended to do it with worked. Guesting and even joining another players instance also didn’t help for me.

Super annoying though. Having to relog a ton of times to do one achievement.

It’s supposed to be right behind Caithe in the corner as you walk up to her. Its said to avoid talking to her till you trigger the mote since that can also cause it to not appear. But it just never appeared for me for quite a ton of attempts.

Make sure you’ve completed the instance once in story mode/completed the whole LS chapter in story mode on the character you’re trying to do this with.

If your character hasn’t completed that chapter in story mode then the mote will not appear for you. This is on a per character basis, not an account basis.

I had this problem too, with this one and the one in No Refuge. after trying guesting, ignoring the NPCs, logging in and out (which was annoying, and the other things never worked), I tried quitting the story section (by selecting to start a different one) and then re-selecting to replay the section I was having problems with. it was a last ditch attempt, and it surprisingly worked.

I was going to report this bug, but it seems it’s been here for a month without resolution. It’s stalled progression towards one of the luminescent pieces which is pretty frustrating.

Relogging once didn’t work.

I ended up going to character select to get out of the instance, then logging back into my character to check if the mote was there. Took about 12 tries.

wow i tried to do this yesterday for the first time, and i see this bug has been around for a month?! i tried for a good half hour yesterday to get it to appear but no luck. and 2 chars that tried both had finished the story etc, but it just wouldnt appear.

Bug really annoying. No particule, no achievement. Tried to get it during like one hour and nothing. A fix would be really useful…

Still bugged. Mote not showing up.

The mote continues to be bugged. Missed a whole evening trying to organise a group to do these achievements, then all of a sudden we get hit by this bug and none of the workarounds are effective. People got tired and we had to disband, but this is super annoying because the only thing holding us back is a progress blocking bug… :/

adding my account here to confirm this is bugged for me too – no challenge mote, it’s the last achievement I need to attempt so it’s blocking all progress towards completing my plague signet.

Getting an attempt at the achievements shouldn’t be harder then the achievements.

Edit: Well its not listed in the patch notes. But doesn’t necessarily mean its not fixed.

I’ve tried waiting, relogging, doing the story on an other character then trying to do the achievements on it. Nothing helps, the mote doesn’t show up.

This is blocking progress to the bioluminescent set, fix the issue please.

And it’s been bugged for two months. I heard Anet is bad with player support but this is too much, two whole months ignoring this… Just fix the kitten thing already, it is blocking our progression.
