Uhh…it’s still like this and its been 5 days. This event is what allows players to get into a catapult to be shot to the top of a tower holding a Vista, and that’s the ONLY way that you can get up there. I’ve been coming back every 12 hours to check on this event and it’s still stuck, can we have some help here Arenanet :<?

Yes, still like this. I’ve actually waited for an hour for something to happen, but with no avail. It’s still stuck on 3 cows needed (with no cows near).

The waves of Young Harpies keep coming though.

I confirm this is still bugged across at least 5 different servers.
I tried guesting on 4 different servers at the last 2 days and it is bugged in different stages at all of those servers.
Some show in event status: 3/4 cows alive and such but no cows and harpies keep spawning non stop.
You can’t use the catapult to get to the vista at the tower as long as the event is ongoing, hence I am stuck with my world completion and I only got this vista left to get 100%.

I’m having the same issue on TC, the event is purely bugged. It’s the very last vista I need to, this is such a bummer to work so hard for

Likewise. I’m on Tarnished Coast and I can confirm that it’s bugged at 3/5 testing complete with three cows alive.

As the title says there is an event stuck and is impossible to complete.

Name: Defend mad Mardine’s cows from harpies while he tests his invention.
LvL: for lvl (20)

This event is around catapult that can fire you up to the Vista on top of the tower.
Due to this bug you cannot explore this Vista and cannot complete Diessa Plateau map.

This has been going on for nearly a week, and I reported it back then, too. The harpies spawn continually and Mardine never terminates the event.

This same bug is occurring on Devona’s Rest.
It’s actually quite annoying because I can’t get world completion now…

Arenanet listen, FIX IT ive been waiting on it for 2 weeks and nothings happened this is a bug that needs to be fixed

Is this event not bugged on ANY US server? It’s all well and good that it works on Vabbi, but not everyone can access the EU servers :\

All show 2 or 3 cows needed with 5 being alive, though no cows are present on the ranch; event isn’t progressing and harpies just keep spawning.

its bugged on sanctum of rall too, been trying for 3 days now to see if this event will complete, but harpies keep spawning and nothings happening, now i cant complete diessa plateau. its really fustrating

Still bugged on Aurora Glade EU. Mad Mardine managed to complete 1 test in 1 eight days….

Broken on Darkhaven and Yak’s Bend.

Also beware, on Yak’s Bend at least, it still gives the option of betting 50 silver, and I figured it might help force the event to continue, it does NOT.

Edit – Every few minutes it gives option of betting again, as if it had fired and furthered the event, which it does not, but still consumes your cattlepult ticket. So I’m down 50 silver, with no proof that I placed a bet in the first place. Not that I’d expect refund, but it’s like getting kicked while down.

They really should either remove the event entirely, or make the vista independent of the event, such as letting you use it even while it’s in progress.

Broke on Darkhaven.

However! I can confirm that it is not broke on Ferguson’s Crossing should you desire to guest there and complete it.

Guest to Keineng for US players, confirmed right now to be NOT bugged.

Fergfuson’s Crossing is now bugged, but Keineng is good.

I just tried guesting on Kaineng and it is bugged.

Afraid to try all those non-bugged listed servers above and waste my guest, can anyone confirm a working server at this hour? Also SoS, Tarnished, and FA still bugged.

The event “Defend Mad Mardine’s cow from harpies while he tests his machine” is bugged. It is stuck on experiment 3/5 with 2 cows alive. There is just endless waves of harpies, you try to talk to the NPCs and none of them react, you stand and fight harpies forever and nothing happens.

Then event is static where:
Test Completed 2/5
Cow’s needed: 3
Cow’s alive: 4
Harpy’s continually spawn when defeated with no further progression through the event.
Cannot get map completion as this event is required to be completed to access a vista.

Same in Far Shiverpeaks event still bugged, please fix it!

Hello Anet, still bugged.

People need this for map completion. I’d say this is far more important them more Molten.

I don’t even care about any other events, this one is really annoying, because I can’t complete the map! It’s still bugged on Devona’s Rest, does anyone have an American server that it’s working on?
On Devona’s, the number of cows actually increased by one over a day and an update, but it still is unfinishable. I’ve sent in two bug tickets in-game but so far, they seem to have been sent in vain.

Yeah they dont read these. Sorry dudes. I sent up a support ticket directly to them and they said its being worked on… Bull$$%@! they dont care about it.

Its just sad to think this vista has been messed up since September 6th on and off. Why even have this feature in game? Its been bad from the beginning, remove it, no one will miss it.

if there is any support who can read this, please fix this bug as soon as possible for it is inconvenient to all the players doing their map completion (including me).
there’s been a lot of patch already throughout the 3 months i started playing and still not fixed yet..
