I did the skill challenge today, but for some odd reason, there was a restore on server. So I tried to do it again, but the barrels won’t spawn and I cannot finish the quest anymore.

Its bugged for me right now too, on yaks bend!

I’m not sure if this is a bug or just me not knowing the mechanics, but every time I fire the cannon it goes straight into the forts floor.

Sounds like you didn’t charge the skill. The shots will be fired a different distance depending on how long you charge the skill.
