Devil Horns
I assume they are supposed to be under the Witch’s outfit, but it’s just a blank slate for me. I would really like to be able to get the event item =\
I still cannot (I asked and others cannot either) obtain the devil horns from the guild store, even though the second patch update indicated that they were back up.
The horns aren’t there ‘really’. Some people can click on the empty space under the witch outfit and see the preview, others get the empty space.
Would be a slight benefit if your in-game browser had a refresh button or limited the cache time to a much shorter time. Or the content isn’t really there in the first place?
I force cleared my cache and it rebuilt it and the horns still aren’t there – see screenshot.
The patch notes state we can pick up free Devil’s Horns in the Gem Store. There are no Devil’s Horns presently in the Gem Store.
I can see, and “purchase” the horns in the gem store, but I cannot obtain them. I get nothing in my inventory, nor do I get any mail containing even a message saying I’ve received them. I’ve tried this on various characters with the same result.

Update, late in the day I was able to get the Devil Horns from the Gem Store. I do not understand the lag, but it was short.
After the original 22 Oct update, the free horns could be used in the Mystic Forge. ANet temporarily removed the horns from the gem shop while they fixed that exploitable-bug. Once that secondary update was live, they restored the horns to the shop.
The TP is currently busted for me and has been for days, I can look stuff up but the “buy” button is greyed out. So I can’t buy anything at all, from crafting mats to the devil’s horns.
Kinda hope this gets sorted out before the end of Halloween.
@Egon: contact support. It’s a problem that is specific to your machine and/or your account and/or your ISP+router.
The support site has some suggestions on how to resolve some TP issues. You might also running GW2 as an administrator and/or restarting your router and/or double-checking that your software firewall isn’t blocking the TP software (it’s actually a different file than gw2.exe; it’s launched in the background).
Everyone that I know who has contacted support about a TP issue has gotten it resolved.
Good luck.
Oh god, Illconceived, thank you so much. I reset my router and just turned off AVG while playing, now my trading post works fine. You’re wonderful.
Glad to hear it’s working (but I cannot take credit for these ideas: mostly, I just read the forums and see what other people have tried that works — and I completely forgot that some ppls have had trouble with AVG).
You should be able to tell AVG to make an exception for the special exe that is needed for the trading post: “awesomium_process.exe.” I want my anti-malware software to be on all the time.
