Me and a guildie purchased the digital deluxe upgrade a few minutes ago.
But our tomes of influence only granted 1k influence to the guild per tome.. ?
Wiki says:
The Tome of Influence is a one-time use item that adds 4,000 Influence to the guild you are currently representing.
I bought this because I wanted the Krytan armor set and the influence was a nice bonus so I’m quite dissappointed now. <.<
If you read the discussion on the Wiki page, it looks like it was changed from 1,000 to 4,000 after someone received a Tome of Influence that granted that amount. That might have been an error/bug that was remedied in a patch.
What did the item say before you used it?
If it stated 4,000, you could contact the CS Team and ask for assistance. (Link above)
I’m not sure what the item itself stated. I just clicked on it assuming I would get 4000 influence. Can anyone else let me know what the consumable says?

My friend says that his didn’t state any amount at all in the description of the tome.
Well, I meant the Tool-tip when hovering the mouse over it. If it says it grants 1,000, then nothing to be done. If it says it grants 4,000, then, of course, you can contact the CS Team.
Keep in mind that ANet sometimes re-uses identical names for items that do similar (but different things). i.e. there might actually a Tome of Influence that grants 4,000i and another that grants 1,000i.

It looks like the in-store Upgrade-to-Digital Deluxe is giving 1000 Influence and the Digital Deluxe Edition is giving 4000 Influence and possible an additional 1000 Influence.
For those that purchased the Upgrade, you may want to submit a request to the CS Team and ask for assistance.

Make sure to inform the Team that different items are being distributed depending on the method of obtaining the DDE.
Yep brand new accounts for the digital delux edition gives 2 items for guild influence. One is for 1000 and the other is 4000. Several guildies purchased a second account went with the 15$ digital delux. They all confirmed there were 2 items and I saw them using items that gave 1000 and then 4000 influence in the guild log. They didn’t rememeber the items names and they appear as “…” In the guild log. However one item did specify the 1000 influence. The other item apparently had no description and they didn’t know what it did until looking at the guild influence log later.
Oh…remember this, as well. Some items, including certain Tomes of Influence are ‘once-per-account’ items, so if you have received them (by some method) before, you will not receive them again.
I’m not sure if this applies to any of the cases here, but it is something of which to take note.
