Guild Wars 2

Ok this happened to 1 of our guild member & 1 of my friend. The story goes like this.

Guild Member Story
he got 10g before he sleep (night), then when woke up he got 5g left then after a couple of hour he got 1g left doing just a normal gameplay.

Friend Story
he got 3g+silvers from his wallet, then while looking at his wallet to check his items, he saw from his 2 eyes how his 3 golds was deducted from his wallet.

This is getting scary because as we go along with gameplay trying to save gold then suddenly will just loose the hard earned gold instantly.

Our Server is Whitesidge Ridge EU.

Hope this will bring attention to Anet.

our guild member already contacted support since March 31 & Anet removed his permission to access his account & the issue is still unresolved. so my friend is afraid to contact support because he wont be able to play assuming that he will face the same problem that Anet will remove access from him.

I am sure that the two issues have nothing to do with each other. If your friend does not want to contact Support, then there is nothing to be done for him. A couple of isolated instances does not make a game-wide bug.

Either ask for individual help, or …well, not. /shrug

it’s actually both identical case. i think he already contacted support too. but i pity our guild member as he is new & still learning the game & now Anet forbid him from accessing his account for almost a week now.

And my role here is to only inform this forum about the bug or something that is happening. I saw few posts but it were closed without proper answer so i just raised this to get the attention of CS and other players who experienced the same thing. Tbh im kinda afraid of holding my golds too because of this.

Never seen or heard of this… Could you ask them to post on this thread so we can hear first-hand what happened?

I’d suspect it’s them either forgetting they bought something, or someone else gained access to the account and is funneling money out as your friend/guildie earns it (after they logout ofc). It makes no sense from a programming standpoint for gold to be disappearing at random. There has to be some event that’s triggering it, and if this is truly a bug, finding that trigger is the key to getting it fixed.

Things like that have happened when the game has seen rollbacks. I, and a good number of other people, lost dungeon tokens, drops, and gold made from activities done during a certain period time. This went on for at least a few days, with every night experiencing a game crash of some sort and then a rollback for many people. However, this was several months ago, and I’ve not heard of such an issue since then.

Your friends really need to submit support tickets, if they haven’t already.

If you read carefully the first post you will see that they are just doing a normal gameplay. they dont actually use TP. They are new in gw2 but they are not noobs when it comes to MMO.

You never now what really has happened if its just a story from a “friend” that somebody else posted .. and even if people post there own story, often they just post the absolute minimum and nobody knows what really happened until you ask questions that sometimes really sound stupid .. but often its the only way to bring things to light.
