Guild Wars 2

Ever since I downloaded the 11/22 patch, I have disconnected and was rolled back multiple times. I lost credit for the events I did, and progress towards hearts i was doing. A few fellow guild members have had the same problem.

Anyone else?

Same issue. Not sure if it’s relevant or a weird coincidence but rolled back to the same location and my progress at that point in time. I’m standing outside of the hotsprings on the new map.

I had this, as well. Confused me, because all of a sudden I got a Heart completion, and knew it wasn’t one I had done awhile back, well, because I had already done it. But, lo and behold, it was the same Heart. That’s when I noticed my inventory still had everything I had deposited previously, and wasn’t organized.

Oh, well.

I decided to test. I switched characters, played for awhile on 3 different maps (as well as the new map), and all was well. Switched back to the character that had previously rolled back, and played for a few minutes, and she disconnected and lost progress. It is very specific problem for one character, and she keeps getting sent back to the whorlpool hotsprings. The only thing that pops into mind with this character is she completed the new story, and my other characters haven’t (yet). Twice, the disconnect has occurred at the moment I’ve had the character speak to a karma vendor.
…or maybe it’s all random.

Same here. I encoutered it in the wild (new map) while gathering eggs, got rolled back and had to gather them again.
The second I encountered while doing the achievement with the poems and hat to read them again after rollback. Didn’t do anything else between (didn’t talk to anyone etc.).

Same here also.
Dc then roling me back sometimes to previous area.
Today i was in Bitterfrost and after dc in Malchors Leap.
Lost gathering and some gold from monsters

Had two no apparent reason dc’s in last 15mins. Goes back to character select and says disconnected from server. Click play and back in the game. Haven’t noticed rollbacks or anythnig else.

Same issue here. I’ve been disconnected several times and each time it rolls me back a few minutes before the actual disconnect. This has been going on for a few hours now…

Since I patched today (which was probably about 12 hours ago) the game has been non stop crashing whenever I’ve logged in to play. I’ve only played in the new map today for the most part, so not sure if it’s a problem with that map or the entire game.

Multiple Dc’s and a small rollback just now.

DCs with free rollbacks for me too!

This is happening to me over and over but it seems it’s only the new map.

Yep, only on new map, has happened to me both yesterday and even more today with new patch…

I only just had this happen to me, though the rollback was small.

Its start it, for me today, on the new map, i got like 6 dcs(lost connection to the server) i didn’t see this message for a long time!

Same here. I had the whole day free to play today, so it’s a bit saddening that this bug makes it more or less unplayable now.

This has happened three times in the last ten minutes in Kessex Hills. Game disconnects from server and all progress lost. No problem, however, with Bloodstone Fen where I have been playing earlier on for two hours.

Ditto, going to play something else.

it is not a rollback, but a server crash, there was a fix last night but I have crashed 6 times this morning and getting fed up with it

Same, trying to get through kessex hills to reach SW then VB. Rolled back 3×. Guess I’ll be lazy and use Gilded Hollow guild hall port to reach the jungle.

Edit: just poking back in here to confirm – for me the problem seems limited to Kessex Hills. AB, Caledon, and Brisban were all normal for me.

Sadly, the game is in a nearly unplayable state right now. Some people seems to have these DC/rollback issues when others do not but it is not limited to a geographical territory. Other than that, there is still some lag spikes here and there.

Just had the same abrupt disconnect in Kessex Hills (after this update). Going to go back to Gendarren Fields which seems to be working

10 minutes ago I got kicked and rolled back after killing ice champ in new map in story instance with Braham and Rox, peculiar thing is that the damage I suffered on my armor is present after rollback

We just updated the game. Please let us know if you continue to have isssues, but several crash issues were resolved with the patch, and we’re hoping your experience will greatly improve now.

I put my issue in another thread since it’s more than just a disconnect and some lost progress. Still can’t play a particular character after patching and I’m not the only one. Broken and unplayable characters are pretty serious.

I have found that the disconnect issue is still occurring, even to the point where I can’t log back in on the same character without the game crashing. I have sent multiple crash reports.

Edit: Not trying to sound snippy. I still love this game

I’m having the same issue as Argonath. I’ve tried it twice and the same thing happened both times.

It’s been a day, and so far so good. I finally got my glittery gloves. I am so happy, no more quaggan bodies. Thank you!!!
