I do a lot of PvP matches, where the use of the Mesmer skill ‘Distortion’ is frequent and essential to survival. Lately, I have noticed that sometimes I get hit and CC’d while under the effects of distortion. I know I have the effect on me because I both see the animation on my character and the skill icon on my bar. At first, I thought I had some lingering conditions I didn’t notice or hadn’t seen the icon correctly, but it started happening repeatedly. Yesterday, another mesmer complained of the same happening to him on our match.
If distortion doesn’t provide full invulnerability or has exceptions, I suggest they are highlighted in the skill description. The same happened with Blurred Frenzy and its ‘Blur’ effect.

There was a thread made about this in the Mesmer forums. I’ve experienced it myself too, when I was cc-ed during a stomp (seemingly) despite being distorted. However, since I’ve never recorded it, chances are that it happened like half a second before or after the effect started/ended. Though it really strikes me as odd.

But yeah. Would be great if someone could actually record it happening, so it could be confirmed if it’s really a bug or not.
