Dive Master achievement is bugged for me, stuck at 37/38, even after completing every one again.

Previously, I had completed all of the dive master achievements, however 1 of them had bugged (no idea which, was on 37/38).

Completed Aetherblade Retreat, got the diving point for 38/39.

Latest patch, Rata Sum was removed (possible 38), back to 37/38.

Completed ALL 38 again, and still haven’t got credit for 1 of them. Still 37/38.

When I first reported this to ArenaNet they sent me a message basically saying they had no way of fixing this. Much later, I reported again that it was still not working. That was ignored. They really don’t seem to care. But now that they have the Achievement Points counting for things I could use those 10 points.

I expected the new achievement UI would really help with Dive Master completion. It really doesn’t help even a little bit. We have the same “information”

Yep, i’m having the exact same problem, just finished all of the locations, and still on 37. Can we at least get a confirmation that something is wrong?

same here 37 of 38. I even double checked and revisited all dive locations twice just to make sure I did it right but still nada. The only dive spot I haven’t tried yet is the one in the Aetherblade JP so that can at least be eliminated as the culprit. Other than that I have know idea which one isn’t working.

The goggles in the “Not so secret” jumping puzzle were added to compensate for that. Use those to finish your diving master.

Are you positive this is a bug? I had the same issue, and redid the tricky jumps – Sometimes you can get in the water with the goggles still on, but if you as much as scratched an edge on the way down it does not count. My flawed jump was in Hirathi Hinterlands.

yes i am positive that i have no so secret, i watched it tick over as i landed in the second aetherblade base.
i’ve gone through the list, but there is no way to tell which one is the one that is not working, :< this is making me sad

after going through them /again/, i’ve found that i don’t return to my normal clothing in brisban, the one near east end waypoint. is this what is causing me to stay at 37?

Just did the dive spot in the Aetherblade JP. Still no credit towards dive #38. Made sure to wear the goggles, hit the water dead center and survived, still no credit. don’t know why some people are getting it and not others, maybe its an issue with the individual accounts themselves?

*Just tried the dive for a second time still no credit. So far I have completed all 39 dive locations that count towards the Dive Master achievement multiple times with multiple characters and am still stuck at 37 of 38.

Me too, same problem. I redid them and still showing 37 of 38. Back during the LIving World priate story I did the Not So Secret goggles tho I wasn’t going for my dive title then so I don’t know if it showed or not. Are there any new updates for this?

I can confirm the same bug. The new Jump in “Not So Secret” does NOT work. Fox this please.

One of my friends was having this issue recently. Apparently it was one of the jumps in the Mount Maelstrom jumping puzzle with the 4 orbs to unlock the chest (The one you take the portal to get into). If you give those two a try it should work.

Kristijan, the goggles in the aetherblade puzzle definitely did work for me a couple weeks ago. I’m not saying it couldn’t have become bugged since, but you may want to retry that one and see if it pings for you.

Worked for me as well. If you as much as scratch anything on your way down it won’t count.

Can someone please confirm that they have 38/38 dives and thus the achivement for it? Like I said I made the jump twice without tuching anything (since you die otherwise) and still no achivement.

Update: Now I have made 4 successful dives with 2 different characters and still did not get the achivement for it! This is bugged. Period.

I did notice that I got tranformed into my normal armor the second I hot the water (was still inside the water). Usually I stay in my diving clothes after the dive but here I get changed when touching the water. I did NOT touch any surface and took no damage.

Yeah the aetherblade dive works, I can confirm that (have the Dive master myself), but as was stated above, the dive has to be “clean”, without touching anything on the way down.

The achievement means to find all 38 dive locations, not to use 38 characters and do the same.

I guess you mean the area within you have to stay for the goggles to remain on your character, right?

If you do, I guess that’s not the problem in Aether dive, ’cause the area to which you have to dive is kinda small

I think there’s the problem if you jump too far from the cliff (the diving goggles are removed before you reach the water), try to jump as close to the jump starting point as possible.

Oh, I haven’t thought about that. I’ll try again, when I’m in the area the next time.

Please implement a fix for this. I’m stuck on 37/38. I’ve made note of the 3 dives I don’t remember doing in the past and on which my armour didn’t reappear when landing in the water…I think it may be the dive in Skrittsburg that’s giving me trouble. But I’ve done it at least 10 times and nada. It’s frustrating that on top of the bug, there’s no way of knowing which jump is the culprit. It’s been 10 months and still nothing?

I’m torn between reattempting all of the dives again, or giving up because the Skrittsburg dive never removes my diving clothes when I hit the water (sometimes even after I’ve left the water). I’ve tried it around 15 times. The problem is that I’m not sure whether I did the dive 2 years ago before deciding to go for the Dive Master achievement, so I have no idea whether it hasn’t counted at all or whether it was already counted a while back

omg I could cry. I found it It was the one at Cereboth Waypoint in Kessex Hills of all places o_O I’ve done it so many times and there didn’t appear to be any issues with it. Nearly jumped out of my seat when I heard the achievement sound haha!

What would help is a list, same as one given in JP achievement

I did now 3-4 times every 38 dive jump. All jumps was succeful without hit and land at water.

Still have 37/38 and starting be angry.

Which dive jump not worked ?

I still have this bug. I think it’s the one in Lion’s Arch that’s not working

Look at your achievement panel, type “Dive Master” in the search panel, and click on it — which dive(s) does it show you are missing?
