hey, over the past 3 weeks ive map completed 16 different maps, on different characters, but every single map has given me a transmutation charge =[, i know there are people out there that say “rng is rng” but with the supposed 20% key drop rate…surely i would have got one at least? :/

There’s a 3% chance of getting zero keys out of 16 maps, if the chance of getting a key is 20%.

So, no, it’s not a sure thing and yes, RNG is still RNG.

(I presume that you know already that city maps always drop transmute charges and that those aren’t included in your ‘16’.)

Yes … they also drop as normal loot.

I got a key from completing Silverwastes a couple of days ago, so yes, they are definitely still dropping.

Is it 20%? I would have guessed more like 10% or maybe 13%.

Regardless, yes, keys do occasionally drop from Map Completion.

yeah none of the maps were : southsun or any city, i know these do not grant keys, ive explored bitterfrost 3 times, and majority of ascalon with 6 different characters so far, all of them have granted me with a transmutation charge… sucks. i guess im just unlucky

Don’t hate me for being pretty, or getting six keys in the last third of map completion with my most recent round. RNG is RNG. Uh, I doubt that it is biased toward the higher level maps, but I did seem to get more of them in higher level maps.

OTOH, I also left those to last, so shrug
