Hello. Within a few days I began to notice that the number of achievements remains unchanged at a value 22458. I’m trying to accomplish everything daily achievements, but to achieve the number remains unchanged. This abnormal situation continues for about a week or more.

Yes they do increase, but they have a hard cap now, when you hit 10,000 points from daily which you have you do not get anymore points,

Now I agree its completely 100% unfair that you do not gain more, but sadly there was a lot of crying about how some people could never catch up yadda yadda, even though AP slows down the higher you get, because you have most of perm ones done.

When I cap my 10k points out I will prob stop playing as im then being punished by Anet for playing the game, where as some causal 2 hours a week player is crying they wont catch up to me so I get punished.

That has not been implemented yet.

Finally, in a release coming early next year, we will merge the existing daily and monthly achievement point caps into one pool.

Thus, if you have already reached the cap, you will have to wait until whatever release in 2015 merges the two Achievement Point caps.

Since monthlies are gone THIS month (i.e. January, ‘early 2015’), I also assumed they would be combined for January (for total 15000 cap)

Is this a bug?

No, it is not a bug, as it explicitly states they will be merged in an upcoming Release. The first possible time would be January 13th. But, it could be a later release. Just sometime in ‘early’ 2015.

If I had to guess, I would say it will be combined on the LS update on the 13th Jan.

I’ve been wondering about this same issue. My points had not been accruing. I turned in a ticket and had noticed that it appeared to stop at 10K dailies.

Once again. Punish those that play the game so “EVERYONE WINS”. I’m surprised they haven’t started taking my AP points yet to give to someone so they are all at the same level. I’m so sick of this mentality it makes me not want to play this game. If ANET doesn’t want someone to see the AP that someone has accumulated then HIDE it from everyone. If someone wants to SHOW OFF their points then let them wear the titles that come with it.

Why have a daily system if you are going to put a cap on it? It’s bad enough that you now only need to do 3 dailies to get max points. I’m trying to understand this logic.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised that the two hadn’t been merged yet, but I guess it’ll come with the Jan 13th release.

The cap has been in effect for some time. Not really part of the latest Daily/Daily Log-In revamp.

In regards to the daily update they might as well have just said login and get 10 AP for you daily. They keep dumbing down every reward they might as well call this game WOW.
