Guild Wars 2

Sometimes when dodging I do a half roll, endurance is expended, I go half the distance I normally would, but I still take the damage. This happens about 60% of the time when trying to avoid big damage hits. Does anyone know what causes this?

Only on uneven ground. It rarely occurs for me since I hate fighting on uneven ground even without that issue.
