I used to be able to open my bank and double-click (within the “bank” panel) on items in my inventory, and they would be deposited into the first empty spot in my bank. Since the September feature pack, this no longer works.

Double-click functionality remains unchanged in every other circumstance I’ve tried, with the exception of those changes specified in the feature pack update notes:

Double-clicking a stackable item to deposit/withdraw from the bank will now attempt to merge it with existing stacks first and place any remainder in the first empty slot.

I can only assume the two are related. Please have a look at this, I’d imagine it’s unintended. I’ve now got to drag and drop items into the bank, and when I’m doing so with several items at once, it gets quite annoying.

Your link only shows the annotations of the guildwiki notes though, not the actual intention behind the patch notes. I mean, I hope it does, since I don’t want it to be intended… If they actually consider it an improvement to deposit two stackable items and then having to manually shift fifty pieces of weapons or armour into your bank, they might be considered clinically insane.

Agreed, Khairiya. The official patch notes for 2014-09-15 contain no mention of the change, so I’m operating under the assumption that it’s an unintended bug.

Try as I might, I can’t imagine any legitimate reason why double-click to move items would be disabled only into the bank.

This is really annoying to anyone who regularly transfers anything between alts.

I can say this bug exists as well.

Example:

I have 300 ecto in bank (250 in mat slot, 50 loose in bank)
I have 300 ecto in my inventory

I open up the bank and double click the 300 ecto in inventory side of the bank tab. 200 ecto automatically fills up the 50 loose ecto to a 250 collection.

The remaining 100 ecto stays in my inventory. I double click and nothing happens, even if I have an empty slot in the bank. I then have to move the 100 manually and everything works fine until the stack is full again.

I’m of the opinion that is is a bug, and an extremely annoying one at that.

Why would they add double click functionality for stacking items in the feature pack, only to remove it from non stacking items a few patches later?

It still works, but only with stacking items now, where a valid unfilled stack exists. If there existing bank stacks are full, it’s just as broken as single items – it refuses to occupy a new bank slot until you drag and drop it.

Edit: Nevermind. Supposedly, today’s patch has fixed it, despite not mentioning anything in release notes.

I would like a toggle to disable this as I want to salvage in my inventory pane in my bank not move a kit over to the bank.

Options would be as follows:

Double click to move On|off
If double click to move is off: use normal functionality of double click. On|off
