I have had some problems in downloading the game!
Every 30 to 30 seconds to download the game begins to descend until the 0kb / s and begins to block.

I’m having the same issue.

Same here. Have only managed to download 306kb over the course of 30 minutes. ):

yeah my download is insanely slow, like 24kbs or something.

Its been going for hours and im only 2% done. I should have never uninstalled.

Hello I have a friend who bought the game today and he has been downloading for 7 1/2 hours please arenanet fix this issue

I ran into this problem as well. Initially it was downloading ~2MB/sec and I felt that was acceptable. When it hit ~80% it hardly reached 120KB/sec and frequently stopped. I connected to my VPN and it downloaded the last 10% at 5+MB/sec. If you have access to an alternate internet connection (phone tether) or a VPN, I would try it. I wish I did sooner.

system problem I hope? Have been off for awhile and now log in fails or intermittently tries to download?

vping actually let you go faster? what was wrong with your connection or IP, seems silly that the vpn would actually change things. Makes me think maybe it’s not on their side.

So is there a fix for this or is it a game issue?

I’m guessing this is a game issue, or their servers are getting destroyed. I’m just trying to re-download the base game so I can play again. HoT has me excited to play.

When I open the GW2 Installer, and it starts at like 3Mb/sec and plummets to 0kb in like 5 seconds. Feels like a server issue to me. I mean I opened a command prompt and tried to ping assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com I get at least 50% packet loss every time, actually most times I’m getting 75% packet loss. So I’d guess the servers are taking a dive.

I am having the same issue; maybe too many people are trying to re-download the client?

VPN definitely fixed the issue. CyberGhost VPN install took 30 seconds, and the GW dl restarted. 2mb/s now!

Didn’t really believe you guys, but I got that cyberghost deal and it does work. Thanks!
