I know this has been mentioned before and (probably) resolved,
but I’ve just finished Slay The Shatterer and there’s no box whatsoever.
I read that some players have this problems 10 months ago, and I assume it’s already fixed, but it’s not.
I humbly request that the DE fixed this problem since its unfair to players (and also frustrating).

Alright, it has been 3 days since I’ve posted this and the problem is still here.
I’ve clear many missions including clearing map, jumping puzzle, doing hearts, played WvW before attempting to kill The Shatterer again.
To my surprise it still did not drop any box nor reward chest that appear just above the mini map.
This is not the problem with just the Shatterer, Shadow Behemoth also has the same issue.
So please look into this problem since it’s getting really annoying and frustrating.

I think I’m having a similar problem with Golem Mark II.

I keep my Engi in Mount Maelstrom to farm plat / wood. Once a night I also do Golem on this character. However, the last few days I have not gotten any chests at all. I gave the gathering a few days break and came back and tried again, so I’ve definitely not done Golem in the last 24 hours on this character — still no large chest. I have done enough damage to golem to count for the event (I was with ~5 people who killed it just now). My engi is pretty glassy, so dmg output shouldn’t be a problem.

Not exactly sure why I’m not getting a reward chest.

I’ve never seen this. And my approach is similar — I have a toon parked in Maelstrom that mostly participates in Mark II Golem fight and farms. I have another toon that sometimes only fights the Shatterer.

If this is a bug, then it’s going to be hard to track down. Here’s what I recommend to help provide the support team with enough details to allow them to troubleshoot:

1. Start writing down the time/date you do the relevant event (Shatterer for the OP, Mark II for the first respondent).
2. Collect this until the next time it happens again (or if it happens immediately, collect it for another 2-3 days).
3. Create a support ticket with these details.

This will allow support to compare what “flags” are set (or not) on your account and figure out which (if any) are interfering with your ability to get the bigger rewards.

if your character doesn’t partake in an event between 2 kills of the same world boss and without leaving the area you (probably) wont get the chest. this would explain frostys, maybe something similar for OP, have you killed any other world event bosses on that character between shatterer kills.

This is simply not true. I can attest to that fact multiple times every day.

its been noted many times going all the way back into gw1 with Nicholas sanddford, same item given with nothing in between and he wouldn’t give gifts, similar thing happening here, and I can attest to the fact it does happen, and by leave the area doing a single event and going back would sort out after multiple non appearances.

just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

I’ll go ahead and take my gathering OCD into Timberline for a night and see what happens.

I’ve had this problem a long time ago after the update which introduced guaranteed rare chests. No matter what I did on my engi, I just couldn’t get the reward for this event. I tried leaving the zone and doing other stuff – didn’t help.

What fixed the problem for me was doing the event on a different character.
