Guild Wars 2

So I had enough tokens from Twilight Arbor to buy a desperately needed helm. Somehow I accidentally ended up with a heavy helm for my engineer which I cannot use. I contacted CS to see what could be done and I got a “sorry don’t screw up or you lose” message. My issue with the system is this:

1) why do I have to look at every armor available if my character can only wear medium armor

2) if I want to destroy a green item I get a warning, but if I want to buy something I CANNOT use I get nothing

3) the items are soulbound not account bound …. so if I accidentally buy the wrong piece I can’t even give it to an alt

I really don’t understand why the system punishes players for an honest mistake, or why it turns into a “you lose noob” situation when this occurs
