I received the first Orphan Laine’s Letter via in-game mail the first time I launched the game after the Wintersday update, and then I received it again this morning.

I don’t remember what happened last year, but I think we are supposed to receive this only once every Wintersday.

I got it twice last year aswell same as this year, it something to do with the year ticking over

Yeah it’s not a big deal. However it’s confusing, and since you cannot really do this quest twice in the same Wintersday, I think you should only receive these messages once.

You can’t do this quest twice in a decade, or a lifetime. But, the game doesn’t know, evidently, what stage an account is on in this quest, so it’s sent every year (or more).

No biggie.

Yeah, you get it once Wintersday starts, and another time on 1st January.
