Dying from walking down a slope??????
Not sure if it’s tied to the issue you mentioned but I noted something like that on PvE too. On Frostgorge Sound, near the camp at Leopard’s Tail Valley (a camp near to where Champion Drake and Champion Quaggan spawns) there is a slight slope on the path from camp to the champion and several times I got at half health by just jumping that slope. Once I even reached 10% of health because I was too fast with jumping. :S

If you run down stairs too quickly (usually with swiftness), you can kill yourself.
It’d be hilarious if it wasn’t obnoxious.
Done that, walking down little slopes in pve areas can really put a dammper on my health. Instead, I’ve found jumping instead of walking/sliding you don’t lose as much. Nethertheless, this is a strange occurance with these small slopes.
This has been a bug since forever in GW2, so I’m sure they’re well aware of it. I’m guessing it’s not fixed yet due to technical limitations with the game engine though.
In the meantime, if you do notice yourself taking damage from a slope, just stop momentarily and then you will be able to continue. It is sometimes difficult to do since the damage will sometimes come in several rapid ticks, but it’s the only workaround at the moment.
