Elementalist Fiery Rush damage bugged
Here’s an example of how terrible the damage is right now. For comparison, attacks generally do far more than their skill tip damage. This is the only skill I know of that actually does considerably less.
Damage is 2144 and i noncrit light golem 1005. Fix this now!!!!! New EotM match start soon!

Got my hopes up when I saw profession skill fixes.
So, uh, hey… you have time to fix bugs that are hardly noticeable. I suppose changing a number so a skill does the damage it’s supposed to is much harder.
I just want to point out that it’s been a long 2 months+ of Fiery Rush being broken. I will keep this topic bumped for visibility for as long as it takes.
I really hope you’re not ignoring what SHOULD be an easy fix.
This is NOT a complaint about the fire trails. We were promised a stronger leap attack to make up for that, and we have not gotten it. The damage it does is nowhere close to the tooltip damage and may not even reach it on a crit in many cases.

It is still pretty fun when I pop my elite skill and do a sick rush attack on my ele, and it legit hits for 400-500 damage in wvw. Could use a change XD

Ya our elites are useless, but on top of that they are bugged and do less damage.
Is it too much to hope the first update of the new year will fix Fiery Rush? I’d like to have a non-bugged FGS 2015.

It’s been 6 freaking months and still no fix! Stop acting like it’s some difficult problem that needs to be solved. FIX IT NOW!!! There have been 2 balance patches since then. One even focused on our other elite skill and that one wasn’t even bugged!!

I saw your response about the Warrior Bug.
It was first thing i noticed after FGS update patch. And still not fixed. Damage is Hugely to low. It’s not even a matter of balance anymore but viability. With all damage skill doing mediocre damage, Ele’s need at least one decent/burst damage skill on FGS, and it’s the promised 2,4 damage increase on fiery rush. Fix it already anet. You promised it Karl Mcclain…

Hello, new to the game and started a ele…..don’t think I need to say how important it is that we can trust the tooltips when learning this class……..very fun and different kind of game play tho, enjoyin it!

I think it would be better to just remove fiery greatsword altogether, since eles are apparently completely unviable without it (based on the above comments). So then ele players could go on and roll a bearbow and feel appreciated.
Considering most ele elites have been broken or useless for months we can only presume that it is what they intended. Perhaps it’s a way to nerf the class more and make it seem like a bug or omission.
Glymph somewhat works in pvp, beside that the sword is only good to run away or taking screenshots. Tornado is now useless except in pvp bunkering since it lost its power boost; it’s just a mess all over the board when it comes to elementalist elites. No elementalist elite is as good as guardian’s invul, mesmer’s moa, engi’s supply crate, ranger’s root, necro’s lich, etc.
The Ele hate is amusing, but seriously, this needs to be fixed.

do risen have a natural slight resistance to fire spells/actions? what about an armour rating, that would seem more like an appropriate explanation of whats going on to me, but in any case, since i also use the same weapon alot, i would like to know of which one it is

by doing this, you totally screw the fire elementalists completely, making them much more useless than what they are, such a silly idea to suggest its removal.

Hopefully this helps answer your question and better illuminates the problem with Fiery Rush.
The numbers will have some general variance due to nearby sources of Might and additional effects from traits and equipment, but it’s still clear: Fiery Rush doesn’t do the damage it should be doing.
Please fix this already :c
I guess this is not one skill that deal much less damage then intended. and has the same nature as sigil damage bug →

We are waiting for 2 years for fix of warrior rush. So we have wait another 2 years for fix of fiery rush.
So I read today’s update. "Fixed an issue that caused the warrior’s Fierce Shot skill to deal too much damage. "
So, it’s easy to address one skill doing too much damage, but no word on fixing another skill doing at least half the damage it should be doing?

Almost a year with bugged elites and ZERO support. This is outstanding in all the wrong sense of the word.
So, apparently “Fiery Charge” is going to get a 60% damage increase.
Is that why we haven’t had Fiery Rush fixed all this time? The team forgot what the actual name of the skill was?
