Elementalist Fiery Rush
This is intented, works how it should. Blink + rush got nerfed, but against a wall it’s from official site said: no bug (same counts for bearform) – they mentioned it some time ago in a live stream (don’t remember if it was rdy up).
You sure they’re fine with it, i played tons of games and mmo’s and this looks broken to me, can’t be working as intended, couldn’t check the dps but in grp with 2 eles providing FGS we melted bosses in couple of seconds, while without eles in grp it can take minutes, looks heavily unbalanced to me and completely broken.
Well, let’s put it this way. The fiery rush has been this way for quite some time now. There have been countless threads on the forums about it, as well as bug reports in-game. There have also been several patches. It has yet to have been changed, nor have we seen a negative comment from Anet about it.
Imagine the Devs talking at their meeting:
“Wassup with Fiery Rush guys?”
“Hey Boss, we are too lazy and too incompetent to fix it.”
“Well, lets just say its working as intented.” Problem solved…

When they discussed the teleport+damage trick, Anet specifically stated that wall hugging is also NOT intended, but they didn’t have a good fix for it yet. It may be allowed (for now) but it wasn’t the original plan for the skill.
Can’t be that hard to fix, i mean the game can check if player moves more than 2-3yd, if he doesn’t then deal only 1 tick of the fiery rush dmg.

There are other skills with that mechanic too, only difference: they are not Elite Skills.
I wouldn’t mind if they fixed that, but if they decided to do so, they should also address all skills with this “bug” equally.
Apart from all the trouble that comes with such a fix, I think a new Elite for elementalist would be in order too, seeing that the other Elites are more, well, let’s call it situational since they actually are viable in specific situations.

The same can be said about many other bugs for e.g the horrible immobi bug that is still present after all this time.Intended ? Don’t think so…its a clear bug thats being ignored..that says something about anet though and unwilling to fix these kind of bugs while they do invest time and money to update tooltips on a regular base or add gemstore items..because thats top priority at anet hq.
I think this gets a bit out of hand since all parties that try for world records have 2-3 eles providing FGS to the entire grp, a class shouldn’t be this powerful and required for dungeons is just bad for the balance of the game.

They’re not “required”, though. You don’t need a FGS to complete any dungeon or any boss in the game.
