I’ve found that when using this skill in fire attunement and triggering the burning I am sometimes burnt instead of the golem. Please fix this.

I can confirm this as well.

The wiki page suggests that this is caused by skills that return to the user and grant you vigor.

Whether or not Arena net is aware of this or not, is another matter.
