Ive been using my elementalist in Wvw lately, and i have been noticing that my “ride the lighting skill” has been abit buggy. When i use it on a selected target, it overshoots alot further than it should do. I dont know if its just me, but if anyone has the same problem please message me.

never happened to me.. that overshooting thing..
sometimes it glitches for sec-two.. but i have never experienced overshooting..

Those skills work fine in PvE but in WvW they mostly undershoot or overshoot.

Burningspeed undershoot, Magnetic Grasp and RTL overshoots

constantly happens to me.

Also, when i dodge, i tend to spontaneously appear back in my initial position giving me the sense I never really gained any ground. Then again… Im in australia and the aussie lag has made any movement jumping skills redundant

Yeah, rhodoc i get the same thing its all the skills like burning speed, ride the lighting, and magnetic grasp all glitch, i live in Australia and i thought it must of been laggy internet. I think its just when i enter WvW.

Gkrit, when i use my ride the lighting, it will ride up to a certain point, then teleport forward, its a big let down when im trying to play PvP.

Is there a lag issue specific to Australia? (Sorry for the side note in this thread) have a guildmate from Oz who’s been crashing continually this past week and claims the lag makes the game unplayable …. Don’t want him to quit, so was here trying to find a solution…. I gather you’ve tried the -repair function to see if it was file related?

Australia frequently has terrible lag. It’s a big issue with almost all MMO’s (be better than them, ANet <3)

This being said, other countries have bad lag too. Though Australia is probably one of the best known for it’s terrible lag, as the country holds a sizable portion of the player base (generally, anyway). More people to complain about the lag. For me, the lag has only recently gotten really bad and made the game unplayable sometimes (I play from Australia, on an upper-end connection). The lag is zone dependent. I could have intense lag in Queensdale, leave and go to LA or something, and have no lag. Or visa versa.

There have been a few posts within the last couple of weeks about people lagging. Doesn’t seem to be specific to any certain zone, just a general increase in lag. Most people I play with haven’t experienced it at all, just a certain few with no connection that I can see. I’m in the US, never had lag issues before recently. Some days are worse than others.
