Hey folks, having some very vexing issues with some ele skills not showing, mainly very particle ‘heavy’ fancy skills, esp the tornado. It only appears about 30% of the time and nearly never in PVP, very annoying esp as you cant really see where you are in relation to targets and such. Few other skills dont appear now and again aswell or they seem to only show half of there effects, some aoe fire skills and the likes.

I know of 2 other people in same boat and they use nvidia cards, 5 and 6series. So im wondering is it gpu drivers end or game end. The way they seem to be always invisible when alot is going on, on screen and seem to work normally when in dead/empty areas would suggest its a game bug though.

(Using the latest beta drivers, 306.29 or something, and a GTX670 2gb)

I also do not see my tornado anymore. I have my video settings at the max settings.

This is not just limited to elementalist skills. This can happen to any ability that relies on a particle effect or similar to display the state and tends to happen whenever there is a lot going on in an area. For example, I’ve seen it happen on many of the guardian “blocking” abilities. It can make it very difficult to tell if the ability is actually active.

I’m guessing this is caused by an upper limit on effects that can be displayed at a time.

I have a decently high end system i5-2500k @ 4.5ghz and xfired 6970’s and I have had this happen to me as well. Usually lose sound as well. Specifically ride the lightning (happens a lot) and tornado.

All drivers are up to date, and running at all ultra settings.

I have an Nvidia GTX 560m. A lot of the time I can’t see Tornadeo when I cast it, it’s just invisible. In fact, I’ve only seen it once (like 15 min ago in Battle of Kyhlo).

Aye what i was afraid of, is very annoying and shame the engine has to. Also i lose sound alot on ele skills aswell :./
